WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 11-04-2025 Albion fans are certainly no strangers to the wheels coming off at Easter, but with that holiday dragging its heels and the club unusually eager to implode, the bunny costumes have come out early this time round. Now five points off the playoffs, with only a maximum of fifteen available to us if we win every remaining game, it could well be curtains for another campaign by the end of Good Friday. To delay that fate will require beating Watford when they visit the Hawthorns tomorrow afternoon; a feat we haven't achieved in eight attempts since December 2016. If we lose, in fact, it'll be four defeats in a row for us for the first time outside the top flight since April 1999. On paper that's unlikely, as Watford aren't exactly on fire on the road, but after the last month you can't really put any mishap entirely beyond us. Yet if the second coming of Tony Mowbray is to have a future through the summer and into next season, we could really do with a lift right now; it might not put us back in playoff contention, but a little hope goes a long, long way. RE: WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 12-04-2025 Nice one, Munchie RE: WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - Baggievicar - 12-04-2025 Superb picture! RE: WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 12-04-2025 Woo-hoo!!! 1-0 (Grant 11') RE: WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - Salopbaggie - 12-04-2025 20 minutes in and we are defending a 1-0, inviting Watford on, when will we learn attack is the best form of defence? If we keep playing like this we will not make half time in front let alone win the game, we need to stop giving them so much possession. SO much better second half back to attacking Yes 2-0 Micky Johnston RE: WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 12-04-2025 2-0 (Jonnston 60 mins) COYB!!! Shit! 2-1 76 mins RE: WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 12-04-2025 Good and necessary win, though as nervy as all our wins tend to be these days. Everything now rides on the Coventry game. RE: WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - 4evaabaggie - 12-04-2025 Coventry have a tough trip up to Hull on Monday before very little rest and us on Friday. Maybe the footballing gods might smile on us, a result for Hull, any result, and a baggies win on Friday would put us back in charge of our destiny. Finishing off against three of the current bottom four, no easy games at this end of the season, but on paper winnable games. Come on you baggies! RE: WBA vs Watford - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 14-04-2025 Hull have held Coventry to a 1-1 draw, so it's just a three point gap separating us going into Friday's match. So its back in our hands short of Middlesbrough winning by 4 more goals than we beat Coventry by, assuming we do. ![]() ![]() |
