Norwich vs WBA - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 18-01-2024 Having swept Blackburn effortlessly aside and established a five-point playoff cushion last weekend, Saturday carries us to Carrow Road where, having finally broken our four-month-long alternating "win-lose-win" away record at Swansea (and not in the way we'd have hoped), the objective is to open our account on the road for 2024. Unbeaten against the Canaries since March 2016, we enter Norfolk with our 1-0 Boxing Day win still fresh in the memory and an opportunity to do the double over East Anglia's second-finest for the first time since 2008. But for all their underperforming this season, Norwich have remained unbeaten at Carrow Road all winter so far, last losing on home soil to Blackburn on Bonfire Night, and though their strikers aren't setting the league on fire - their last nine goals in all competitions have been netted by different players - wunderkind-winger Jonathan Rowe is the second most prolific scorer under the age of 21 in league football this season with eleven goals. For Albion, the excellent showings from both Fellows and Thomas-Asante last Saturday easily secure their place in the starting XI, and with any luck, we'll see more of the same from them. With one eye on derby weekend, a point would do Albion nicely here, but a win would set us up perfectly for the big cup clash.
