I remmeber that so clearly! It was certainly a shocking incident but there was an air of sympathy for Cantona, not for the action but for the abuse he had been taking all game to lead him to do this. I cannot remember what his ban was but can you imagine the uproar these days if that happened????

Pity he didnt kick Richard Shaw also, his haircut shouldve got a fine from the FA for being so crap!
He got a nine month ban and community service I think I recall
