Hibs v Cowdenbeath - 17/01/15 - ritchiebaby - 16-01-2015

In my opinion we should have beaten Falkirk convincingly last weekend and we now have Cowdenbeath as visitors for what should theoretically be an easier game for us. As we all know, Hibs are their own worst enemy, and even any old cobbled-together team drawn from the stands could give us problems. So there's no point in typing 500 words when the result is probably in the lap of the gods.

In short, I'll be greatly disappointed in anything less than a convincing 3 goal victory, so here's the team that might just do it.

Oxley,
Booth, Fontaine, Hanlon, Stevenson,
Handling, McGeouch, Robertson, Allan,
Boyle, Cummings

Definite subs - Dja Djedje, Stanton and  .....well, Kennedy is away back to Everton and Sinclair is away back to Southampton and that just about leaves  Doh  Heffernan, no wait, there's Craig  Wink  , yes Craig will do!

Must win game!!! Dropping points in games like this one and last weeks totally undermines any confidence and momentum gsined from the run you were on!!

Is Paul Heffernan still with you?? God, he was out of his depth when he was with us!!!

SCO, he's out of his depth with us. Makes a decent cup of tea, though.

A decent cup of tea makes up for many failings. Thumb up

Tea making doesn't impress me. Now, if you were to offer me a Costa coffee cooler ..... Big Grin

At least the match is still on. 'Mon the hibees.

RE: Hibs v Cowdenbeath - 17/01/15 - Amelia Chaffinch - 17-01-2015

5-0 so far

RE: Hibs v Cowdenbeath - 17/01/15 - ritchiebaby - 17-01-2015

Now that's what we should be doing!!! Both full-backs with late goals to cap a 5-0 win. Scorers were Hanlon and Cummings in the first half, followed by a fine solo goal from Robertson, with Booth and Stevenson scoring late on.

Falkirk and QOS play out a 1-1 draw, which means Hibs stretch their third-placed lead over QOS, all the more vital ahead of next week's match at Palmerston Park.

Good win, Ritchie. Thumb up

Enjoyed the game for once! As Ritchie said it was good to see both fullbacks scoring as well as Hanlon. Goals need to come from the whole team. Cowdenbeath looked a little unsure as to what to do when they went behind as I'm sure they just came to park the bus and frustrate.....never really threatened. With Q of S drawing it was a good day all round.
