RE: England at home, summer 2022 - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 02-06-2022

Well, I suppose it's been an alright start to the Stokes era Laugh

RE: England at home, summer 2022 - themaclad - 02-06-2022

132 all out Jimmy and Potts 4 each, Leach head butted the ground gets concusion, Parkinson conc sub

RE: England at home, summer 2022 - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 02-06-2022

That takes Jimmy clear of Ian Botham as the second-biggest wicket-taker in England vs NZ Tests on home soil.

19-0 at tea, I'm still wondering how and when this is all going to go wrong!

RE: England at home, summer 2022 - talkSAFT - 02-06-2022

My 1st ever match (Edgbaston 1958) was Warwicks v NZ.
Not going to look it up, but Warwicks 316/7 declared. Fred Gardner 88 Mike Smith 62. How do I remember such stats??? Smartass Blush

Was a Member for 3 seasons in the 60s, hardly missing a day's play, but haven't been down for about 15 years

Obviously you don't remember them, because Smith actually got 63! That's a shocking lapse from you, and I expect better in future Big Grin

Crawley caught behind for 43, but he's built a decent platform for England, see it through to close now and this'll be a dream first day.

RE: England at home, summer 2022 - themaclad - 02-06-2022

100-6 in reply

Just as a matter of interest my first Lancs match was a Gillette Cup game against Warwickshire in 1964 both Smith’s played
