Bromley - spireitematt - 29-04-2022 Bromley have a plastic pitch and we don't exactly have a good record on plastic pitches. Let's hope we don't pick up any more injuries. RE: Bromley - Devongone - 30-04-2022 Even if we play on a Clay Court in Paris with Rafa Nadal refereeing, we'll still lose, but we won't be the only ones. Suggested injuries, Loz Maguire scrubbing his teeth before the warm-up - dislocated jaw. McCourt damages retina reading team sheet. Nathan Tyson, dropped by geriatric care staff when being changed. Kellerman incurs migraine during complex tactical briefing. Whittle, overcome by anxiety during mindfulness exercise. RE: Bromley - Dancingwilldoit - 30-04-2022 No reason why we can't do it today. We didn't do too bad on them last season apart from Dentons injury. A win today could mean we are in the playoffs. Fingers crossed will be celebrating tonight with beer and tapas. RE: Bromley - spireitematt - 01-05-2022 Twice in 2 games where it takes the opposition to score first for us to wake up. I said we don't have a particular good record on plastic pitches and looks like I was right. We seem to be so out of form and can't seem to be able to string a few wins together. Even if we get a playoff spot I find it difficult to see us getting promoted. We've gone from challenging for the title to trying to finish 2nd and 3rd and now we are trying to stay in the playoff positions. Whoever gets promoted via the playoffs will have 56 days to prepare for L2 which isn't a long time to bring in new players and for them to gel etc. RE: Bromley - Devongone - 01-05-2022 Cookie is heartbroken by the performance, pull the other one mate, you are preparing the ground to resign once we've failed to make the play-offs or lost in the first match. Seems to me Oyeleke and Khan is the beginning of a midfield. Cooke replaced Oyeleke with the Scouse waster McCourt, first wrong step. Asante injured pretty much ends our hopes anyway. He's our only good forward. Matt is right to point out how short a time we have to recruit part of a team if by a miracle we are resurrected to the EFL. We need two keepers or one with Stone disappearing under a rock to be second choice. We need a remodelled midfield, getting rid of those barely good enough and bringing replacements who certainly are. We need Tshimanga and Asante fit, we need to be rid of Quigley and Tyson and replace them with young players challenging for places alongside, or instead of, the two front men. We need to decide whether Miller is a winger or a wing back and whether we want to keep him. We have to decide how we want the team to play in either a higher division or our current one, because at the moment we lack an identity. The one good thing about going up would be that EFL2 looks likely to be very ordinary, but really going up is the least of our worries, especially if an EFL team is prepared to forget Cookie's recent efforts and rely on his proven promotion credentials. |
