Dundee v Hibs, Wed 2 March, KO 7.45pm - 0762 - 01-03-2022 Well this is a match that should certainly provide Hibs with a welcome 3 pts v a poor Dundee side in relegation freefall. However, my optimism is not boosted by what Hibs are doing on the pitch up front. In other words, to win matches like this one Hibs need to "bang in" some goals to finish off a good performance/victory that should bolster their 4th position in the Scot Prem. Will they do it? ![]() GGTTH RE: Dundee v Hibs, Wed 2 March, KO 7.45pm - 0762 - 03-03-2022 FT 0-0 and my OP couldn't have been any more accurate re the concerns and likely outcome due to Hibs frailties up front. I immediately pictured a 0-0 result after hearing that the pitch was water-sodden and borderline playable and Hibs fulfilled that expectation in a boring match without Bushiri (red-carded) with just over 30 mins remaining. One positive note is we had another "clean sheet", but a 0-0 draw v a bottom league team???? Seriously?? Esp with Ross Co, a team with goal scorers, now 3 pts behind Hibs! ![]() GGTTH RE: Dundee v Hibs, Wed 2 March, KO 7.45pm - ritchiebaby - 03-03-2022 Only 5 points cover 4th to 10th now, so there could be big positional changes after Saturday's matches. A big game against St Johnstone to come and, like all of you, I doubt whether we have the necessary firepower. RE: Dundee v Hibs, Wed 2 March, KO 7.45pm - 0762 - 03-03-2022 Hibs interestingly "filling up the stadium" to capacity v St Johnstone on Saturday with the generous £5 per match ticket being taken up by the fans. So there should be a great atmosphere v the saints. Lets see if this Hibs team has the motivation to "rise" to this huge support and find goals from somewhere or totally disappoint again due to their serious lack of forward firepower. The lack of any forward scoring goals for Hibs in league matches is absolutely glaring and I believe Maloney has no solution apart from a focus on not conceding goals. RE: Dundee v Hibs, Wed 2 March, KO 7.45pm - hibeejim21 - 04-03-2022 I'd give the guys a pass for the dundee game....the pitch was an absolute nightmare and we were getting the shite kicked out of us. Doidge can barely move though ffs, and now Nisbet is out as well. I'm not expecting much of whats left of the season. I just hope we got and get 3 or 4 players in come the summer that can go into the first team. The kind weve been needing for 3 seasons now. I'm giving SM the benefit of the doubt for now. RE: Dundee v Hibs, Wed 2 March, KO 7.45pm - 0762 - 04-03-2022 In Maloney's defence, don't forget the huge injury list that Hibs have been landed with - very unlucky in that regard during this season. Btw v Dundee that little shit, McGowan, was "leaving his foot in challenges/tackles" in numerous incidents during that match and it should've been him being red-carded, instead of Bushiri, by a more vigilant referee. |
