Strong rumour Tom Whelan is on his way back with others.
Makes you wonder what really went on with James Rowe if this is correct.

I'd welcome Whelan. He looked as though he could play at our level or the lower levels of the EFL for certain. The trouble is all football managers are inscrutable to normal people and fans. Why would Rowe sign Kairo Mitchell and then almost never give him a try before discarding him to a major, local rival? Grant Smith is both younger and a better keeper than Loach, so why would you discard him in favour of nothing much, then come up within a guy at the end of his career and becoming dodgy on crosses. How could anyone think that would be better. If we offered Loach for Smith + £25,000, does anyone think Yeovil'd accept? So how did we end up there?

But how could Dele Ali be so mismanaged that he has gone from being the best midfielder in the country to a guy with a haircut who is struggling to get a full game at the top level. How can club, various managers and the player himself allow such a thing to happen?

Rumour has it it was Rowe's way or the highway. Sounds like if players fell out with him then they were moved on.

Grant Smith was such a weird one to let go as he was a good keeper as was Montgomery.
