Scot Cup quarter-final draw - it's Motherwell!! - 0762 - 15-02-2022
This is a tough draw for Hibs!! A different one from the usual - Dundee United avoided this time! Also avoided Celtic and Rangers. So all to play for! Shaun Maloney needs to ensure our players are primed for this match well before it is contested and esp with a huge Hibs support travelling to Fir Park. Am I confident he can do that? No!! I can only pray he proves me wrong and finds some kinda accountable team by then. IMO Paul Hanlon must return asap and our strikers need to "push on" and score goals more regularly than of late.

You're right. Although tough, the draw could have been much worse. We should be on a par with Motherwell and should be able to beat them. However, we must raise our game for the Cup ties, because we will have little interest in the League thanks to our current form.

Agreed!! That's a motivating factor for SM to utilise right away and then proceed to intensively scrutinise Motherwell's performances and plan how to exploit their defensive frailties that were apparent in their last Scot Cup match/victory v the Dons.
