We're back in action after a fortnight wait with a pair of northerly journeys, first to Huddersfield on Saturday and then to Blackpool on Tuesday night. After a very unconvincing and unedifying draw against Middlesbrough before the break, the positivity isn't exactly in full flow, and as playoff hopefuls, both the Terriers and the Seasiders are likely to be even tougher opponents. Somehow, Albion have to dig deep and find the kind of away form that carried us to victory at Cardiff back in September, but which has deserted us entirely since the Stoke defeat that followed.

Despite a decent historical record at Huddersfield generally, our last couple of visits to the John Smith's have been ones to forget, with the most recent excursion that 2-1 defeat that so nearly cost us promotion in summer 2020. Likewise, even before losing on penalties in the FA Cup earlier this year, our last league trip to Bloomfield Road saw us defeated with nine men under Roberto Di Matteo in autumn 2010. The signs in the stars don't read well, and a couple of points would be more than welcome from this very tricky week.
