The virus and football - themaclad - 22-08-2021

Two weeks into the season we have had one confirmed case and two lots of three players having to self isolate which begs the question why have they not been vaccinated. They have had all close season and it's patently obvious that a majority of players are still unvaccinated.
Is tehr any common sense amongst footballers given the virus is here to stay get vaccinated lads

They should get vaccinated and I can't understand why they won't. It might have the additional benefit of encouraging young people to do it.

Also does suggest some are not double jabbed as from last Monday those did not have to self isolate. Browne and Evans both played Tuesday night or should I say were on the pitch and both are self isolating just seems odd to me

Your lads probably picked it up from ours. We've had loads of cases recently.

What makes you think they weren’t vaccinated? You can still test positive even if you have had the jab so maybe they have no symptoms but because footie clubs are testing players that’s the only way we know they are positive.

Summat that Warnock said. He says none of the players are having jabs. Whether it's true or not, who knows?

Whenever you search it, there are recent stories about players being encouraged to get jabbed.
