THE MATCH

LAST MATCH
Well we managed to end the year with a win against Colins and his minnions. We started OK and took the lead when Paterson was put through down the left and slid it past the keeper. Then for the first time at home in 2020 we scored a second goal when Bannan crossed and Shaw finished first time for his first goal for the club, 2 Up at halftime, WOW. Onto the 2nd half and Boro bossed the game and pulled one back after 50 mins through Watmore. Boro continued to have chances but weren't testing Westwood much, the closest they came to scoring was when they hit the post and we went on to hang on and take the points.
THE MATCH
Our first game of 2021 and we host Shrek and Derby County. Derby made a poor start to the season which saw Philipe Cocu sacked as manager, with Rooney now in charge as temp player manager although he is managing more than playing at the moment. If Rooney will get the job we will see. They have a few players you might recognise, Shinnie and Waghorn and they do have an ex blade Kazim Richards in there ranks. Derby are 20th atm, but will be looking to get away from any relegation fight.

Well I don’t think anyone wanted Pulis beyond the end of the season (assuming he kept us up) and with 7 from 30 points that wasn’t going well with the defensiveness and lack of player buy in and motivation. If as described he was engineering his way out while trying to come up smelling of roses I can see why DC was annoyed especially if the sick note ruse was true. Having been burnt by Bruce as well I’m sure the managerial contracts are getting tighter than when CC first arrived.
Let’s hope the next pick is more successful with the existing squad and recruitment. If we get relegated I’d rather see it with attacking football and the Boro game was a lot more entertaining than the previous half dozen.

I'm in hospital getting rehydrated as I have exploded from every orifice for the last 24hrs
Ever since reading all the latest at S6 strangely enough.
Will most likely be released in time for the game tomorrow!
