LAST MATCH
Well we actually won a game, in the classic TP way, 1-0 and the winner from a set piece. It was the usual one up top and we didn't create too much though neither did Coventry and the first half ended 0-0. Onto the 2nd half and we showed more going forward and with the introduction of Rhodes and going two up top. We scored from a free kick as Bannan swung it to the far post and Lees headed in. Coventry had a few chances to score but were denied by Westwood. Windass had a chance to make it two late on but was denied by there keeper.
THE MATCH
Onto Boxing Day and a trip to Ewood Park. Blackburn seem a bit inconsistent winning 8 and losing 8 of there 20 games so far. They are the 2nd highest scorers in the league with 34 but also concede (24). They have the 2nd highest goal-scorer in Armstrong who has 15, which is more than our combined squad for the whole season. They are managed by Tony Mowbray who will be looking to get Rovers into the playoffs.

I suppose he has to start with the same lineup keeping van acken minge and odubongo well away from the starting 11.
If luongo isn't fit we are going to struggle guarding our back line and if Bannan isn't fit who the fluff cares this game will pass him bye anyway as the midfield will get bypassed by both teams .
The key is going to be winning headers in our box against amstrong meaning keep van acorn well away !!

Héctors name is in the rumors maybe another loan ? I'd take that and hopefully flint will be back with us on loan giving us 3 center backs to choose from instead of palmer van acorn and Lee's !
Sort this out and keep Westwood fit I don't see a better way of solving the defence this season anyway !
Some youngster from.villa is being lined up in midfield with pace so hopefully that will be the end of harris but still if he's not going to use Penney then we need more faces here because luongo us made of biscuits and we can't trust minge to play more than 3 seconds .
Then it's sort a striker out with pace who can accommodate our number 10 windass ! And we know that ain't Marriot after the few games he played he showed no potential whatsoever !!

Flint won't come back !! ... would any player ??, Mariott won't be allowed back ... the new owners/manager will want to see what he can do ( Sweet FA) and there is NO WAY Hector will come back here ... already said he's NOT gonna drop a division, especially to the BOTTOM 3 , best we can hope for is Hutch back and Andre Green, other than that ..NOTHING in January
As an aside Andre Green has been a free agent all year ..if he's that good why wait to sign him !!!
