RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (29 August) - WBA-Josh - 30-08-2017 Let's hope she brings some Polish female friends with her Beefy. Brighten up West Bromwich and turn it into a Kurwa Stroną. Sorry BaggieVicar. ![]() A new link. Georgian 6ft 6ins centre back Solomon Kvirkvelia from Lokomotiv Moscow. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/08/30/report-leicester-crystal-palace-and-west-brom-in-three-way-tussl/ Ashley Barnes link - https://www.clubcall.com/burnley/barnes-on-baggies-radar-1861304.html RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (25 July) - BaggieMan - 30-08-2017 (27-07-2017, 00:57)BaggieMan Wrote: Went to the Burton Albion game this evening and have to say this Hegazi fellah was superb and earned a well deserved 'Man of the Match' award. One just hopes he continues these displays at Premiership level which, given his decision making, time on the ball and understanding with fellow defenders, should be easily achievable. The above in bold was from one of the senior directors and it seems it is proving true - a lot of hard work has been going on in the background of which we are not aware. In view of what is currently happening, maybe apologies and some humble pie. There could be quite a lot of 'egg on the face' for the doubters and those who gave the directors and recruiting staff a lot of stick over the Window. That said, I'd like to see Uncle Tone start playing a much more attractive style of footy to stop me dropping off for a nap as I did against Sjoke! ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (29 August) - Worldclassalbion - 30-08-2017 I am more than happy to eat a massive slice of humble pie because if we pull off the loan signing of Krychowiak that could potentially be our biggest signing ever. He's brilliant and an unbelievable signing. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (29 August) - Alouion - 30-08-2017 Whatever we may think of Pulis and his football, he has a very proud record of success with both ourselves and Stoke City. Consequently it came as a surprise to me that he was prepared to extend his time with us recently despite a relatively poor transfer window last year and, at the point of his signing the contract, a poor window this year too. Now it is apparent that both the owner and the board are backing him with some amazing work behind the scenes. I am sure I am not alone in expressing both surprise and pleasure at the players who either have come, or appear to be on the way in the last few days. I recall those days in years gone by when every game in the PL was a struggle and we were frequently pasted. We now have a team who can compete with anyone in this league and give them a game. I expect Evans and Chadli to leave tomorrow. Evans clearly wants to go play (or not play) his football with Manchester City and Chadli has blotted his copybook with TP, and that you cannot do. We already had a club to be proud of. Today, if ever there was any doubt, we are the Pride of the Midlands. Concerns get raised every year because things happen so slowly and medium size clubs have to wait for the big boys ....... other teams dive in and sign players we're linked to ..... May only be media talk, it still raises hopes that get dashed. Very pleased with this window ..... the first real window for years ..... here's hoping it's the start of years of European challenges. |
