Does anyone else feel that this transfer window will, once again, be long on rumour, speculation and professed interest but short on actual signings, bar one of BD's old pals aged about 35? Just asking for a friend

I'm not overly concerned if we buy anybody or not - my slight worry is with Holgate joining us, Fitzwater staying and Tosin and Mears still here? It could be possible we are at risk of losing one of Dawson, Hegazi or Gibbs. (obviously on the last day of the window)
If we don't sign a couple of players - will any questions be asked of our new recruitment staff? It maybe that they have been left in Dubai until Feb? Dowling had plenty to say a few months ago?

Couple of new ones here; first one being widely reported, second says an 'approach' has been made.
Not heard of either of them! (not that that means much)

More gossip - Albion are attempting to sign Newcastle winger Jacob Murphy on loan until the end of the season.
I'm not sure but I thought only one loan was allowed from any club - or is that only PL?

It’s time to get the bubble wrap out to cover Phillips with.

I hope this opens up a chance for Leko and Edwards to get more first team game time.

Phillips 11 goals in 3 years doesn't do him justice tbh - he scares defences when he's on form and provides lots of assists.
I'm a little surprised Edwards hasn't had a chance after he was the pre-season star ?

Can someone explain our club to me ??
Had this guy since the summer paying him getting him fit etc etc then .....

Bakary Sako to re-join #cpfc from #wba. Due to undertake a medical at Beckenham, with Palace effectively taking over the remainder of his contract at the Hawthorns, which runs through to the summer. Bit on this blog: https://t.co/TQ1Kdp9UPF

All over local media now as well
I'm totally bemused at times there must be a reason for it , replacement ?
Bolasie left Villa last week or am I putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5 ??

People wonder why I get so frustrated - the red mist is clearing. It's obviously just another financial decision.

There are some largely baffling decisions going on, but let's wait and see what happens before getting too worried.

Sako hasn't had the desired impact at the club and is probably on a Premier League wage, so if moving him on frees up the cash to get someone in that can make an immediate impact, happy days.

I'd very much doubt they will move him on without a replacement given Barnes and Burke have already gone and Phillips is injured. There's probably some method to the madness.
