RE: Thread For Anything But Football - St Charles Owl - 13-10-2015 Let's go Cubbies!!! Arrieta on the mound, let's hope he is as sharp as his last outing!! RE: Thread For Anything But Football - peiowl - 13-10-2015 (12-10-2015, 22:52)Maddix Wrote:(12-10-2015, 14:11)peiowl Wrote: I believe Dickey is on that mound tonight. He's a knuckleballer. He'll either be unbeatable or be hit out of the park. So Rangers do have a good chance against him. Price will be on hand in case he gets into a jam. Umps much better last night. I believe she's Canadian. RE: Thread For Anything But Football - St Charles Owl - 13-10-2015 Blue Jays take game 4 so it's back to Toronto for the game 5 decider!! Both AL match ups are going to game 5s. Both NL games may still go the same way!! Thorny, if you want to watch an exciting game then try to watch at least one of the deciding games. RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Thurnscoe_OWL - 13-10-2015 I've got better things to do ![]() RE: Thread For Anything But Football - St Charles Owl - 13-10-2015 (13-10-2015, 01:49)Thurnscoe_OWL Wrote: I've got better things to do No you haven't!! You are a penniless student who eats fish fingers and chicken nuggets and does assignments all night the night before they are due!!! ![]() Cubs using the long ball so far tonight, 5 homers tonight into the 7th inning. RE: Thread For Anything But Football - St Charles Owl - 13-10-2015 Cubs end up with a post season record 6 homers and beat the Cards 8-6. Game 4 tomorrow at Wrigley again, Cardinal will put their best pitcher in, John Lackey, on only three days rest. Going to be another good game!!! RE: Thread For Anything But Football - consilio - 13-10-2015 Why do the pitchers need so much rest? RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Owlkev71 - 13-10-2015 (13-10-2015, 09:20)consilio Wrote: Why do the pitchers need so much rest? Teams generally have 5 starting pitchers who do the bulk of the work, the teams play a 162 game schedule with about 15-20 off days, teams generally play at least 6 times a week, that's why they have the rest. A starting pitcher will throw roughly 225 innings these days which equates to 30 games per starting pitcher. It was different when Baseball began in the late 1800's, some pitchers threw 600 innings and played 60-70 games. Umps much better last night. Unlike you ![]() RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Statesideowl - 13-10-2015 I hear Randy Quaid want to come up to live with you PEI. Not sure they're going to let him across the border ![]() |
