RE: 2016 (Final Day - Closed) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - BBB - 09-09-2016 Oh dear why don't we give the team and the new players a chance. Most of you are always moaning about something. Just back what we've got for a change - the players read this and it can't give them much confidence. ![]() RE: 2016 (Final Day - Closed) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - BaggyBomber - 10-09-2016 (09-09-2016, 23:03)Slick_Footwork Wrote: Well I guess you're right, the wording from Pulis wasn't great. But think he's just fed up of Williams claiming he got what he wanted when this wasn't the case. Either way, the communication at the top is a joke. Totally agree with both your posts, Slick ![]() RE: 2016 (Final Day - Closed) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - BaggieMan - 10-09-2016 Some time ago, the 'Secret Footballer' (alleged to be Dave Kitson) suggested a certain Premiership manager whose detailed description exactly fitted TP, would only sign players who were with his own 'agent' or an 'agent' who would agree to a kick-back cut on any transfer fee. One wonders if some of this might be the "footballing reasons" we missed out on signings and had yet another poor transfer window. Plus, could it be that Pulis is pissed as he needs the money to pay back Palace - perhaps John Williams knows it and is similarly pissed with Pulis' modus operendi and has clipped his wings. Whatever way, Pulis' position is becoming untenable and could continue to bait the Chairman and Board to sack him and earn a big contract payout. Resign and you get nowt. Uncle Roy could then take over for the rest of the season while we find a younger coach for the future. Happy days ! ![]() PS: and I would renew my long standing season ticket again...... ![]() RE: 2016 (Final Day - Closed) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - BaggieSteve - 10-09-2016 Possibly like others, I feel that the current spat between Pulis and Williams is extremely damaging to morale. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation, I can't help but think that Pulis has handled this incredibly badly and his displayed a complete lack of leadership with the players. I'm sure he is frustrated, I'm sure these are not the players he wanted to sign but to go public with these views as a means of retaliating against Williams is, I believe, completely crass. In all honesty, how does he think these new additions will now feel? "Well, lads, I didn't want to sign you because I wanted to get better players but you're here now so we'd better make the best of it". Cracking motivational stuff. If he's hacked off with Williams, then have a 1:1 with him and tell him how pissed off he is but then it stays private. Don't get me wrong, I think Williams has also acted poorly but, in his defence, he clearly felt, as chief Exec, that he had to make a public statement because of the supporters' discontent overvthectransfer window. He could, however, have made a far less inflammatory statement. Perhaps the new signings will come out fired up, aiming to show Pulis how wrong he is but somehow I feel not. All in all, a complete shambles. First off I think the two posters above need to get a room instead of just flirting with each other ![]() Joking aside as an outsider my perspective with your transfers in the window is that as a club you had two options. Back Pulis Sack Pulis It seems because of the chinese takeover neither was done, although I think the second option will happen soon; albeit at completely the wrong time for you as which manager in their right mind would want to take on a club at this stage of the season and not be able to bring any new players in of his choosing. The answer to that is a manager that's going to be a sideways move rather than improving things for you. RE: 2016 (Final Day - Closed) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - BaggyBomber - 13-09-2016 Well, looks like you put the mockers on this thread, Cherries! ;-) RE: 2016 (Final Day - Closed) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Beefy 1965 - 20-09-2016 No Momo .................. http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/850106563?-11200:789:0 RE: 2016 (Final Day - Closed) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Dingle-Dingle - 01-10-2016 West Brom manager Tony Pulis says the club want to offer striker Saido Berahino, 23, a long-term deal to end uncertainty over his future.
