IMO AP has got to just go for it. After the first 30 mins he must surely put on attacking subs, within reason regardless of the score. I'd rather go down having a right go than meekly accepting it RE: Staying up... or going down? - SomersetBaggie - 11-02-2018 There are some winnable games between now and the end of March. I think that if we are bottom 3 at the end of March we will be really up against it. Trying to stay positive but the loss to Southampton and the points picked up by those around us has not helped!! By the time he goes for it we will already be down. AP has been disappointing and even his excuses are laughable "we scored to early" and you cant play the injury card every game. RE: Staying up... or going down? - WBA-Josh - 11-02-2018 After the Chelsea game, the team are going away to Barcelona for a 4 day training camp before coming back to England on Friday for Saturdays game. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11698/11246396/alan-pardew-takes-west-brom-to-espanyol-for-winter-training Do you guys think a new setting and a warmer climate for a few days will help the players regain their composure like it did with Tottenham a few weeks ago or will it be a disaster like it was when we did it under Pepe Mel? RE: Staying up... or going down? - Blue Baggie - 11-02-2018 It ain't sun bathing weather in Barcelona at the moment. RE: Staying up... or going down? - WBA-Josh - 11-02-2018 It's up to 10 degrees warmer than in the Midlands. Not a massive change but big enough to have a positive impact on the player's mental state. It might not help at all but when in a deep rut like the players and coaching staff are in, it can be good to get away to somewhere fresh for a few days and refresh the system. RE: Staying up... or going down? - talkSAFT - 12-02-2018 "We've done it before We'll do it again". I know I should feel VERY pessimistic, but for some reason I don't!!! We've got the players to do it. ![]() ![]() RE: Staying up... or going down? - BaggieSteve - 12-02-2018 (11-02-2018, 20:34)SomersetBaggie Wrote: There are some winnable games between now and the end of March. Trouble is we've had a lot of winnable games between August 2017 and February 2018 and we've only managed it three times. Sadly, I don't see anything changing with the ones coming up. RE: Staying up... or going down? - drewks - 12-02-2018 Never give up. Look at Swansea! |
