I can fully understand why against 10 men we didn't score, we have got so used to defending - 74% of most games - that the team has never had a chance to attack consistently for 5 minutes let alone 20+ minutes because of the way they are forced to play by Phylis.
We are two points off of relegation, so if there is a decent manager out there who wants to come to Albion, the time is now.

What say you?

I didn't realise Bomber said similar to me before back reading. His is said better of course  Whistle

Pylis's Motto:
Keep buying defenders, make them tall
Don't need attackers to play at all
Just eleven players from kick off behind the ball

And hope from a corner, free kick, we'll score
Or failing that then hope for a draw
Though if we continue to be winless
Its because I'm clueless.

Oh and a nice chap I might be
But football management is not for me
So its time to retire and feet up by the fire
Watch a more ambitious Manager aim higher

And win the league

I doubt you can read anything into it but Gary Megson didn't go on the team bus. We followed him (not in a stalking way) to the car park.

To be fair, its not about the him screwing the club over, he has a contract if the club want rid then they should pay him, no manager resigns nowadays, why would they leave that amount of money on the table when so many managers get no loyalty from owners??

So what would it cost to get him out? Anybody?

Probably nothing in it, as I think he lives in Sheffield, so he probably went to today’s game direct from home.

Careful drewks, you'll set Beefy off. He loves a good whipping, just ask FunkyJoker.  Whistle

With West Ham losing at home to Liverpool, they stay below us. We are in 15th, 2 points clear of the bottom three. Does anyone think that may save him for a few more matches?

I hope it won't because I want him gone 100% but it wouldn't surprise me if he is still in charge for Newcastle after we probably lose to Chelsea and Tottenham in a months time. Especially with the press reports during the week of his job not being under pressure and him staying until December.

I'm convinced nothing will happen before, during or after either of the next 2 matches, Chelsea and Spurs.

That takes us to the last Tuesday in November for Newcastle and 4 days later the Palace match, I hate to say it but anything from the first 2 extends the agony for me beyond that. It'll probably take 3 or even 4 defeats to get rid - by which time we'll probably be bottom Angry

Sorry St Charles but he is. He doesn’t give a damn if you look at the evidence of team selection, tactics and substitutions. Resign means no payout and he’s bottled it. Get fired and he walks away with a payout and can always say he would have got results if we had stuck with him. Have supported this club for 50 years and hate what he is doing to my team

I didn’t say he isn’t screwing the club, I just said its a mute point becuase the club will have to sack him if they want him to leave, he won’t resign and walk away from a few million quid. I know I wouldnt, and neither would the rest of us. We as fans look at this situation in a completely different way to the manager and the club, we are in it for life whether we like it or not, mangers are not.

As I said I get what you are going through, I watch a lot of PL football and I have to say Albion are certainly one of the more sterile teams to watch. You are not the only ones but you are top of the pile at the moment. Its the fear of relegation for the owners and managers that is driving this tendency for teams to defend at all costs, but at least most other teams set themselves up to be good on the counter attack by using pace or some other attacking plan, Albion don’t even seem to be interested in getting forward, it appears that 0-0 is the desired result rahter than nicking a 1-0 win.

Interesting to read on the BBC Sport website a comment from Tony Pulis that John Williams went into the dressing room after the game to talk to the players. I personally don’t think that’s a good sign, he could leave chitchat till upstairs in the bar, but if he was delivering words of consolation and encouragement, he’s doing something maybe Pulis can’t do any longer.
