He was involved in unacceptable gambling habits and borrowing money from other Hibs players that he didn't repay Paigntonhibby! Hibs/Petrie were happy to get rid!

He'll be more trouble than he's worth. Definitely don't want Stokes back - we've a great team spirit and he'll destroy that singlehandedly.

Unless Stubbs can control Stokes and stimulate him to perform without 'rocking the boat'! The manager knows, as well as we do, that our one failing is we are not scoring enough goals - our GD stats don't lie. And yet we're only 3 pts off Rangers top position! Also we're moving in to a crucial period of big cup tie confrontations and Championship matches - no coincidence Stubbs trying to initiate a marquee signing, a possible season changer but it's still a calculated gamble.

I understand why some are wary,but i think stokes will have to knuckle down if he comes to hibs. That's if he is at all interested in saving his career. Stubbs is a gentle guy,but inside he is hard as nails and he won't take any shite from the player thats for sure.
I have a feeling celtic will try and keep hold of him to the end of the window,just to see if anyone down south fancies taking him first.

Mixu reveals that utd have agreed terms with celtic for stokes to take him to dundee utd. And its now up to the player.
That will be the competition delilah was referring to yesterday.

Aye but note Stokes previously said he was not interested in United - commented through his agent and the story quickly disappeared.
