RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - theo_luddite - 15-03-2025 Hold your horses - Stewards Enquiry at Cheltenham ![]() I was using the Racing Post website for what I thought were the results. It turns out they were the results of voting to predict the winner and not the actual race results. Apologies folks, but when I didn't recognise the winner (or colours) on the news this morning I though I'd better check. I'll redo all 4 days of the races using the Sporting Life and the correct page of the Racing Post website tomorrow evening when I get back (or sooner) if I can. RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - themaclad - 15-03-2025 Objection to the winners RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - Lord Snooty - 15-03-2025 Oh theo. What a mistake a to make a. Paul Nicholls finally struck back for the locals quickly followed by another win for Nicky Henderson. You can't keep a good man down as Mr. Mullins won the 4th and Henry de Bromhead took the big race of the day. Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero did take the 6th race to score for the locals but Paul Nolan kept the Guiness flowing in the final race of the day. On the day - Ireland 4 : 3 The Field Running total - Ireland 13 : 8 The Field Friday Gold Cup Day ![]() Mr. Mullins takes the first 4 and might be looking for a clean sweep. RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - theo_luddite - 16-03-2025 France won the Six Nations, egg chasing points go to themaclad and jjamez. RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - theo_luddite - 16-03-2025 ![]() ![]() Norris followed home by Verstappen in the first F1 race in Aus. I expect it will be close between them all season. RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - theo_luddite - 21-03-2025 Scotland have qualified for the play-offs at the World Women's Curling Championship despite losing their final round-robin game in South Korea. Going into Friday's three sessions, it was between Sophie Jackson's rink, Denmark and China to secure the two remaining places in the top six. A win for Madeleine Dupont's Danes over Scotland in the morning session would have put the three sides level on six wins each. But Jackson's side prevailed 10-5 to secure progress for themselves and China before those two sides met in the afternoon. Four-time world champion Silvana Tirinzoni's Swiss top the round-robin with 10 wins and one defeat, with Canada and Eunji Gim's hosts having nine wins each and Anna Hasselborg's Sweden sitting fourth on eight wins. Scotland will face the side finishing third, currently South Korea, while China will take on the team in fourth, currently Sweden, in Saturday's play-offs while the top two go direct into the semi-finals.
