Crazy thinking, get rid of Phillips, Livermore, Castro, Robinson or TGH but Mowatt is a class player. Yes I know he carried an injury last season, but he must get a chance.
We need Lai to burgle his Chinese businesses and get our money back. Bruce could do with some funds. Even I don't expect Bruce to magician another quality free transfer.
We still need 2 strikers and a FB - without them our weaknesses will become apparent once the window is shut. It will be to late then
Our start has been fair, credit to Bruce for that. Must start getting points on the board now.

Dike......

They spoke to Steve Bruce, who issued the following statement: “It’s a real frustration for us all, and the boy. He’s young, he’s 22, desperate to go to the World Cup with his nation, and he’s worked tirelessly to get right.

“Yesterday, he kicked a ball and has done something to his thigh which didn’t look very good. We’re hoping it’s not too bad, but from my experience, it’s bad enough the way he pulled up. He kicked a ball, frustrating.

His contract will be up before he plays 90 minutes for the Baggies.

Also The Waste of space Zahore is injured again.

I give up.

Anchibe, Zahore, Burke, now Dike. There are probably more glaring examples of our club's incredible "due diligence" when it comes to incoming transfers - of particularly costly forwards - in the last half dozen or so years.

Davis medical at Watford.
Dike out for months torn thigh muscle.
Grant back spasms after heavy landing.
Zahore needs brain transplant.

Where next for the Baggies next striker failure??

DD#No1 Huh Huh

RE: 2022 (12th August): Summer Transfer Window - Stairs - 12-08-2022

Not many strikers out there and so Davis would have been a good option - I guess as he is having a medical at Watford there is no chance of a steal.

We need to be creative (quickly) and find someone not on the radar of others.

I had hoped Reyes would score a couple this week and set us all buzzing but it seems he failed to take the opportunities that presented themselves - as do most of our strikers

Abdul Baba Rahman (See defenders) - sounds good but maybe the focus has turned to a striker given the news

RE: 2022 (12th August): Summer Transfer Window - Slick_Footwork - 12-08-2022

Like Blue Baggie said, Lai really needs to return the money loaned from the club now, so we can invest on a striker.

With the midfield additions, it could well be the difference between success and failure to get promoted.

And Lai getting his money back...

While it's possible to get lucky in the loan market, just having a couple of million to spend would open up so many more possibilities.

No idea why we didn't go back in for Diagne on a free. While he wasn't everyone's favourite, I think he would've scored hat loads at this level and been a great foil for the likes of Swift, just like he was for Periera in the Premier League. But that ship has now sailed...

Even getting Andy Carroll back would work. It would make a big difference for him with Wallace's delivery. But I suspect his relationship with Bruce means that ship has sailed too...

We need to scour the market and fast. Even with Grant we were in a really poor position with no target man. Without him, i can't see us getting enough goals to win games.

Time for Lai to think savvy and come good. Hording this cash will result in him losing millions more in the long run if we can't attract anyone.

RE: 2022 (12th August): Summer Transfer Window - drewks - 12-08-2022

My opinion of Lai is so low that I may be sued if I give it!
IMHO the bloke's a downright ****k (begins with c, rhymes with book), and we WON'T get any of the money back.

I hope I'm wrong but am not holding my breath
