RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - Stairs - 28-08-2015

So could we keep Saido AND buy Austin - it's sort of what the papers are suggesting. Now that would be good business!

Tottenham have signed Heung-Min Son for 18million suggesting the chase is over for them.

The real challenge now is making sure Saido is motivated to stay and work and press on.

Otherwise he will go at the end of the summer for peanuts!

He will probably go in Jan, it won't be for peanuts and it won't be to Tottenham. Levy has probably pizzed Jeremy off too much.

I hope we keep Saido, Everton keep Stones and Southampton keep their 2. Clubs need to start making a stance and enforcing the contracts that have been signed.

Quite right Tidy.

I think there is too much Agent influence these days.

There should be formal approaches made between chairmen only and left there,

The player should then find out once the club has agreed to entertain the idea of a sale!

Remember transfer lists, that's when people used to know players were available! Now a transfer list appears to be thought of as the 1st team starting line up!

Like I said, I just hope they can get Saido focussed!

I think the fans have a big job to do! Chanting his name etc... and making it known that whilst he may not be wanting to be here, he is more than appreciated!

I'm trying to imagine the words 'Anichebe' and 'passed a medical' in the same sentence. Struggling, but I suppose it must have happened before.

Pretty sure Jeremy's stance on Saido is just to obtain more money.

I never thought he'd go to Spurs anyway. After all, Man City and Man United can't challenge for the title with just 2 strikers...

I'd like to see him stay but either way, we're desperate to strengthen the midfield with better quality, especially if Pulis persists with 4-4-2.

Probably, Slick.

Jeremy knows he's in a win, win, win situation despite what the cry-babies from Spurs think. Allow Saido to leave now and collect £22-25m, Keep Saido until Jan when, by then, he should have scored more goals and possibly be a more attractive prospect and bank £25+m, keep Saido for this season where his goals keep us in the Prem allowing WBA to collect another £100+m and let him leave for £20m ish.

Could go tits-up, of course.

Regarding contracts. All parties should be in agreement to end a contract. Not just a player.

That's how I read it too (especially if we manage to offload Bic Vic) but I think most commentators, including Spurs fans, are assuming we'd only have one or the other.

Let us pray to the big medical man in the sky, Baggievicar!
