First Chris Lepko leaves the Birmingham mail and replaced by Bill Howell,
Bill Howell left the Mail last week (didn't last long) only just found out .....

Well, as Albion have kindly revealed, this is my last game as Albion reporter for the @ExpressandStar. It's been an absolute pleasure. #wba

I take it we will hardly get any local news on WBA at this rate ?

Chris Lepkowski now works for West Bromwich Albion.
I think Bill Howell and Steve Madeley lasted longer at Albion than Pocognoli and Gamboa!

Belgium winger link added

Plus updated Austin link given he is now a serious consideration should we sell Saido (which now I hope we do).

I know Beefy pointed out the price had gone in to 6/1 for Charlie Austin late last week.

He's now as low as 6/5 to be at Albion after the transfer window.

Probably a knee jerk move as it seems the obvious if/when Berahino goes.

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - drewks - 26-08-2015

I thought Austin had said he wanted to stay in London?

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - wba_1996 - 26-08-2015

I wouldn't sign Austin at all, especially if he is a replacement for Saido. Austin is 6'3" and not that quick - exactly the same as Rondon, Lambert and Anichebe. There is no point having all 4 as none of them would work together as a partnership if we (heaven forbid) continue to play 442, and if we play 451 none of them can play out wide so will all be competing for one spot - there is no way one of Austin/Rondon will sit on the bench.

Regardless of what happens with Saido, we need creativity in the midfield - winger, box-to-box and playmaker should be where our attention is focused for this last week. If we sell him and we want another striker it has to be like-for-like, young, pacy and likes to get in behind - someone like Afobe or Embolo.

Looks like Spurs are losing interest in Sado (sorry Saido)
