RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (10 August) - 4evaabaggie - 22-08-2017

Onetruebaggie, your panicking, we are going to sign two players as soon as we get back from Austria .........

Trouble is the board did not say which year .......

RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (10 August) - Worldclassalbion - 22-08-2017

I have been saying for while what a complete shambles and a joke our people are when it comes to getting deals done. Maguire went to Leicester for something like £17m. He's a brilliant signing, Mounier at Watford, Ake to Bournemouth. All brilliant players we decided not to bid for. Instead we look at £25m Ben Gibson ffs.

When it comes to buying players we are a complete Joke re the speed of the deal or paying decent money for great players. £13m for a Chadli and Rondon, £6m for Anichebe was a joke.

Every window we get slower and tighter. Yes we have won the first 2 games, Brilliant but when the winter comes and injuries start happening we will be dead in the water.

Stop being linked and losing out START SIGNING

RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (10 August) - Foxman_WBA - 22-08-2017

I think expectation levels are important now, we are all worried and ever hopeful that this squad can carry us to the end of the season; I think we should expect the following transfers to round off our season….

In
Joe Ledly (Free) Useful and wont cost a penny
Ryan Shawcross (10m-15m) Leader, Pulis player and over 30
Phil Jagielka (6m-10m) see above + Due to the plan to play a team of 5 CB’s 3 DM’s 1 ACM and 1 FWD, also great back up as left back (despite never having played there)

Out
Field (loan) Out to the championship and will be sold the following summer for pence
Evans (25m) the board smiling that they’ve made a killing…..forgetting this isn’t 2010 anymore
Rondon (10m) to literally anyone probably a rival

Failed to Sell
Chadli - despite the pitiful price tag still no one will want him and having burned his bridges with Pulis will now languish in the dungeon and occasionally used as a scapegoat for poor performances at the end of the season and getting knocked out of the cup to Rotherham (or worse)
McManaman – See above

Well there you have it, come the 31st the prediction has been made and you have all been warned and I will not be disappointed as my expectation levels have been set.

Pulis was also impressed with Chadli's attitude, but when I asked if he would be sold this summer he said: "We'll have to wait and see."

Delighted Pulis played such a strong team, but when I asked him about it he said: "It's the only team we've got!"

Is this more hope building again or genuine this time ?

@MattWilson

Pulis admitted he needs to 'fill quite a few areas' before the transfer window shuts and said he played a strong side because 'it's the only team we've got'.

He's hoping to be handing debuts to new players against Stoke City at The Hawthorns this Sunday. Tongue

Dear Mr Pulis, stop Bleating and start Dealing. Chase chase chase then don't bother let someone else have em. Maguire, Ake, klucas, Hernandez, Mounier, Gabbiadini, Taylor. All class signings made by others at a decent price while we dithered. Get your head out of your arse and get some deals done ffs.

A sloth moves faster than Albion

Rant over, at least for an hour. I apologise to you lot for my negativity but I can't help it at the minute because this will definitely come back to bite us on the arse at some point.

RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (10 August) - 4evaabaggie - 23-08-2017

World-class, I would rather the right deal than a fast deal ...... but yes, let's start bringing these players in ..... we have spent six weeks looking, negotiating, now time for signing.

RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (10 August) - Worldclassalbion - 23-08-2017

Me too re the right deal but we have missed out on quite a few. I'm not saying that any of those players would have come to us but the opportunities were there.

You'll get no argument here mate, the players we have been discussing terms with to then loose out is unreal ..... as you say .... if their right for us and were talking Turkey, get it sliced, diced and done. We really do talk to much, we dally and other clubs with external attractions, London, Manchester, Europa league etc get alerted step in, two lines of dialogue and the deal is complete. We need to act fast and quietly.
