RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Worldclassalbion - 24-08-2015 Show us the money LEVY and stop talking the talk, its time to walk the walk and message to JP SELL SELL SELL... Get Rid, he's never worth that money and lets move on. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - bomberbrown1968 - 24-08-2015 (24-08-2015, 18:19)betterthanbaird Wrote: Some of you are overreacting, he'll play a fair amount for spurs and he wants to push the move through so he's gave in a transfer request. I'm not saying he's right but he clearly felt that this would make the move more likely and he probably knows it won't force or guarantee anything. I'd prefer to keep him and he put a shift in for both the games this season so I hope he'd still play well if he's forced to stay. If he goes as we expect I'd wish him all the best and I hope some of you would too. *turns phone off to avoid incoming disagreement. Did try ringing but just going straight to answerphone betterthanbaird ![]() Can't see how it pushes a move through though, we're hardly likely to accept the reported £15M bid just because the toys are flying out of the pram. TP & JP have already said he'd only go when the value of him is met by saying never say never. Expected next move would be Spurs upping the bid or another club testing the water. But the cocky kid can't wait and says he's taking his ball home. Wish him all the best?? - yesterday - yes. Today - no ![]() RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - BaggyBomber - 24-08-2015 Like most of us on here, we "put shifts in" for considerably less than Berahino has. He cares only for himself. The only thing I hope is that we get plenty for him. That's the unintentional good thing he might do for the Club. I won't give him much thought when he's gone. Believe me, the Club will survive. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Salopbaggie - 24-08-2015 Put him back in the under 21's for a while just to teach him footballers are not gods regardless of what THEY think. I really thought these tantrums and delusions of grandeur were behind him, he can not be that thick (can he) that he did not realise this is the way the game works. A club makes an offer that is rejected, then they come back with another offer etc. The only logical explanation I can think of is the lack of an agent has left him in the dark, assuming he has not got a new agent yet. He could have hung on one more week and left with everyone's blessing, not anymore. You've hit that nail so beautifully on the head Salop ![]() RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Salopbaggie - 24-08-2015 I suppose now I have cooled off a little now and reading back on an article from February, which most people on the forum at the time said, fair enough to. “I’ve got to stay focused on what I’m doing right now, which is scoring the goals and keeping West Brom in the Premier League. “If I can keep them in the Premier League and score as many goals as I can, I’m pretty sure the fans wouldn’t mind me pushing on and going on to bigger things.” I know I certainly thought ok fair enough at the time and I guess he is just holding us to it. He could still have waited a week though, then pushed if it did not happen. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - SomersetBaggie - 24-08-2015 Saido has benefited from West Brom and West Brom have benefited from Saido, it is time for both to move on. Spurs would be a good move for him with regular football likely. I say best wishes to Saido (as long as we get a decent offer for him). RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Slick_Footwork - 24-08-2015 It was fairly obvious Saido was going after being left out yesterday, so the transfer request doesn't mean much. Personally, I think he's a top player and I'm sad to see him go. I think he'll score a hat full of goals for any side that can actually slip him through from open play. That said, I thought we looked better with 4-5-1 and Rondon is a better option for leading the line on his own. So if the money is invested wisely, we could have a better 'squad' for the sale. My worry is if we waste money or overspend on players who aren't even going to get in our side. Townsend and Fazio as part of the deal would be a good start... Although I can't help thinking Saido will go to Man Utd. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Salopbaggie - 25-08-2015 Joleon Lescott can leave as soon as they sign another defender, according to Sky sources, it doesn't rain. http://www.skysports.com/transfer/news/11698/9964343/west-brom-prepared-to-let-joleon-lescott-depart RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Dingle-Dingle - 25-08-2015 West Brom are targeting Manchester United's Northern Ireland defender Jonny Evans, 27, in their sights as defender Joleon Lescott, 33, is told he can leave The Hawthorns. (Talksport) Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe, 32, is looking for a £60,000 a year executive personal assistant to look after him and his family. Tasks would include choosing his suits, doing the dry cleaning and stocking the fridge. (Daily Mail) What a NOB DD ![]() ![]() DD ![]() ![]() |
