RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Squirrel Regis - 23-08-2015 Aries, Salop beat me to it ! Looks like everything was agreed with Sako but put on hold. Gnabry signed the next day so it looks to me that Sako was down the list on targets maybe ? It's a bit frustrating but most business will be done close to transfer deadline when moves to 'bigger' clubs don't materialise and we come back into play. Fingers crossed ! ![]() Makes you wonder about Fazio, is this another deal lined up and put on hold in case other options fail like Jonny Evans ? One thing is for sure, the club will have targets that the media hasn't found out about... RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Worldclassalbion - 23-08-2015 I love my Albion BUT I have to be honest and say our transfer policy/Action/results have been a SHAMBLES since Dan Ashworth left for the England Job. We are so very very slow when doing deals its unbelievable and embarrassing. All this talk of 'We are working hard behind the scenes' has run its course for me and I Have run out of patience. We can't get the likes of SAKO, ANTONIO, PHILLIPS, and even second rate FAZIO is on hold?? We need more players, some real quality, a box to box creative midfielder minimum. Look at Ayew at Swansea, he's on fire. These players are out there but don't want to come to Albion and if they do we can't get the deals done. Randon was complete left field, Lambert and Gnabry I am pleased with but so frustrating. I'm over 40 years of going up the Albion and I am so disillusioned I don't even know if I can be arsed to make the effort today. This isn't me being a childish wally, this is a genuine falling out of love with the club which is in my blood. Thinking this may be my last season with a season tkt as need to step away and recharge the batteries. ![]() ![]() RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Squirrel Regis - 23-08-2015 World class, Think we were looking at Ayew last season but might have been the one at villa ? You are spot on about Dan Ashworth the last 2 seasons recruitment has been a joke ! Keep the faith buddy, things have been a lot worse than this. ![]() RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - tidy - 23-08-2015 I've got a feeling that Tottenham mentioned Fazio and Berahino in the same sentence once the deal had been 'completed'. JP probably pulled the plug. Quite rightly... RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Worldclassalbion - 23-08-2015 No Berahino in!! Looks like he's off, not even on the bench RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Dingle-Dingle - 23-08-2015 (23-08-2015, 13:43)Worldclassalbion Wrote: No Berahino in!! Looks like he's off, not even on the bench Probably on the BEACH thinking about London Mega Money lost career. Looks like he's off, not even on the bench Don't think Spurs will be a lost career. Its not like going to Chealsea where he will be 4th or 5thchoice at SPurs he will be number 2. All in all it is probable the best club after us he could be at. Don't be to surprised if Man United come in for him next week. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Worldclassalbion - 23-08-2015 How can TP consider selling Lescott when Olsson and Dawson are on the pitch is beyond me. James Chester CB, cost £8m is played out of position and now on the Bench with Lescott. Baffling!! At leadt I have my coat on so not getting wet!! We have played quite well to be honest but same old same old shit defending is costing us RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - wba_1996 - 23-08-2015 Whatever happens with Saido, we need 3-4 first team starters in by the end of the window if we are to even compete in this league. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (21st Aug) - Dingle-Dingle - 24-08-2015 West Brom manager Tony Pulis says 15 clubs are interested in signing striker Saido Berahino after the Baggies boss dropped the 22-year-old for the game against Chelsea on Sunday. (Evening Standard) Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said Pedro's debut for the club in the win at West Brom was good but "wasn't quite Maradona". (Evening Standard) DD ![]() ![]() |
