A good 3 points in the end in spite of the officials doing their best to give us only 1. Penney is just going to get better and better and doesn’t looked fazed at all. Even Palmer has been decent the last couple of games and Matias is showing the energy and ability we expected when he signed.
Biggest disappointment is Dave who has reverted back to his normal level of past seasons and not the form of the last 10 games of last and with his size and clumsiness makes it easy for refs to call fouls against him and not for him.
Be interesting to see if we get the rumoured loans from Chelsea in the next few days..

Crucial 6 points this week from two gritty performances!!! We probably deserved the win today but not by much, played better in midweek than today. Not sure who I would give MOM to but Penney must be in with a shout, as well as Thorniley. Palmer again did well defensively and he looks a different player in the last couple of games. We never really got going in midfield today, Pelupessy did ok, Bannan was on the back foot too often today and Reach was busy but didn’t do a whole lot. The forwards worked hard all game, Matias I thought had a decent game, does a good job chasing things down and makes decent runs. Joao got his brace so no problems there. Nuhiu still hasn’t found the form from the end of last season, he causes problems with his size but he needs to do more.

about 3 out on the prediction he didnt count on ipswich bringing and unexpected last minute taxi of fans Meaningless cup tie in the week and then away at Reading who havnt won a game yet and they got a good point today away at Villa ! a point would be a good one !
and next month we have some realy hard games !! Villa forest and reading away with stoke and Leeds at home i realy cant see many points here and if like last spetember as august has been like last august then we will be in trouble afterwards bigtime !!

Poor performance but we won. There goal shouldn't have stood, the non goal-scorer was interfering with play. Never a red card for there player. Nuhiu was terrible, Penney played well again. Dross should have made changes earlier.
