the backing off from Hudson is a bit of a throwback to the early noughties defending, I was always told to jockey and wait for support, Hudson just went overboard with it.
We looked off the pace all game really, could tell mooy and smith have hardly had a preseason, I'd honestly be tempted to keep mooy out of the first league game in favour of billing. Palmer and mounie didnt see much of the ball in the first half, whilst Ince seems wasted out on the left, it could be a case of not being able to get Kachunga and Ince in the same side, might have to rotate and possibly keep kach more for away games. First two goals came from slack defending, think it was hef that was at fault.
second half we looked good on the break, scannell showed good pace and strength for his goal and part assist. Depoitre will be an interesting one for the season, looks a big lad that might capitalise on set pieces and crosses into the box if we bother trying them, seem a bit too eager to turn and move it back infield when we get into decent wide positions.
