RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (02 May) - Salopbaggie - 04-05-2017 (03-05-2017, 09:45)Stairs Wrote: Beefy's additional material re Carvalho proves my point to a certain extent. Special Election Day post. Stairs, You may be very well be and probably are right. However, with a political hat on, maybe TP is smarter than we think, perhaps he is aware of a player for a certain position who is on his list, but also on another clubs, along with Carvelho. The other club has more resources so could pretty much take their pick. So TP makes a big thing of Carvalho, in turn making the other club go in for him early, leaving the field open for TP to get the player he really wanted in the first place ![]() ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (02 May) - 4evaabaggie - 04-05-2017 Quite a few of our previous Windows have been hindered / adversely affected by talk of take overs, this has now been completed so I for one am hoping that we purchase and purchase a plenty but only if it's quality to pad out our threadbare squad and take us up a level to where we can start to challenge Everton for a europa league place. We need to be able to push the teams in fifth to seventh and to get a European tour in order to attract the players that will push us on to greater things, things that we (I won't say deserve no club has a divine right to silverware / success) desire. This window is going to be a true indication of where we are going and where the owners want us to be. PRIDE OF THE MIDLANDS ........ we know what we are. From what I saw of him 2 years ago when he was a success for Real Betis after Pepe Mel returned to the club, he is an attack minded right back who fits the Spanish mould of full backs attacking like wingers. At the time defensively he wasn't as good but 2 years have passed since I last saw him play so he must have improved if the link is indeed true and Tony Pulis is interested in him. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (02 May) - Beefy 1965 - 05-05-2017 Dont care what age this guy is, He will score us goals ...simples Pullis on Sky confirms interest in signing Jermaine Defoe ![]() http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/884296371?-11200:789:0 RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (02 May) - Dingle-Dingle - 06-05-2017 Here we go again...... West Brom will try to sign Watford striker Troy Deeney after being knocked back last year in their pursuit of the 29-year-old. (Daily Mirror) Bristol City defender Aden Flint, 27, is being chased by West Ham and West Brom. Apparently was advised !! not to play to avoid injury, Just hope that attitude was his agents and not his ? West Bromwich Albion target Charlie Taylor has risked burning his bridges with Leeds United by refusing to play for his current club. Albion boss Tony Pulis is a known admirer of Taylor and the Baggies are looking to recruit a left back this summer. Taylor is out of contract at Elland Road in June and has incurred the wrath of manager Gary Monk for pulling out of the Leeds squad today. The 21-year-old told Monk he did not want to play in the Championship finale at Wigan Athletic which ended in a 1-1 draw. "There’s no sugar-coating it,” said Monk. "Charlie refused to play the game and I think he’s been terribly advised in this instance. http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/884566354?-11200:789:0 Lamine Kone .............. http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/884568817?-11200:789:0 RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (07 May) - Stairs - 09-05-2017 Charlie Taylor looks like it's at 90% forecast now.
