RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Nottingham Forest - Owlkev71 - 24-09-2016 We have played alright but its the same old story I'm afraid, cant score then concede. But as usual missed good opportunity and they ran up the other end and scored. we just dont seem to have any urgency infront of goal the crowd dont either its all hand clapping football and everyone seems happy untill BANG the counter attack ! maybe we will wake up in the second half we usualy do but why do we do this game in game out ? cc and everyone is too patient and its costing us !! Norwich will be out off site come tuesday week and there will only be one more spot for us to chase and then it will be just the feffing playoffs !! and i realy dont want to go down that road again !! look at how well Brighton did the second time off asking ? RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Nottingham Forest - St Charles Owl - 24-09-2016 Thing is though our performances are not consistently shit, in fact it's probably the opposite!! We have created more chances than just about any team but when you don't take them it just puts more pressure on the defense to be perfect every game, and they haven't been!! We have seen more defensively poor goals against us than we did last season and while clubs seem to have us sussed by sitting back and hitting us on the break, if we took just one of our chances first it would cause a completely different game. It's in front of goal where our problems are. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Nottingham Forest - Statesideowl - 24-09-2016 I tried to explain just after pre-season that people would need to take those blue tinted glasses off. Not enough was done to meet the criteria set for this season. I can't say it enough, the squad over-achieved last season, so believing just a minor tweak here and there is all it takes is proving costly. 10M sounds like a lot but it's FA these days, we needed to be much more ambitious in our recruitment. When you half arse it, this is the result I'm afraid. A top 10 finish will be pretty much on the cards but don't delude yourselves into thinking promotion is happening. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Nottingham Forest - Was Wereham Owl - 24-09-2016 We couldn't score early in a brothel !
