They're not making him play in the heat of the midday sun like they have before and it's affected him. Better for him, but crap for the British TV audience.

I'm hoping for a 'mug's betting double' coming in on this one - fingers crossed! And Andy breaks his own career record on speed of serve- now 141mph! A true tennis legend and what a tremendous year it's been for him!

Andy's long, unbeaten run comes to an end in a 5 set thriller of a match! Box office stuff 4-6 1-6 6-4 6-1 7-5
Nishikori in fine form and only winning a second time v Murray in a match where Andy seemed to lose focus in a defining 4th set. A great match to watch!

Bit of the old "losing focus" Murray surfaced it would seem. A hard season now drawing to a close, still been a good year for Murray.

Will you be doing a Gary Anderson thread when he defends his world title in December.

Created Thunderbirds didn't he? Big Grin

Murray was brilliant in the first set. Best he's played all year but then the roof came on and Andy caved in.

Yep! His dominant form v Nishikori is unquestionable and it was baffling to see that sudden transformation although Andy did refer to the noise in this arena being a distraction. I'm guessing that the roof is closed and suddenly the arena becomes a bit of an echo chamber. That was evident on observing the high number of times that Murray stalled on a first or second serve and the number of occasions that the umpire intervened to silence certain spectators.

As an aside, Novak reaches the final in one of the most energy sapping matches that I've ever watched v Monfils - played in 100deg F and humidity. I'm glad Andy is out of it to hopefully benefit our Davis Cup hopes v Argentina!
