RE: Everton vs WBA - Match Thread - Luke_East_Baggie - 14-02-2016 6-0, looks like Liverpool won't get any more. I thought Chester was okay. Sess is quality and gives us an attacking threat from midfield that noone else does. Thought Rondon had a slightly better game holding the ball up than usual. So glad we got something out of the game with 2 strikers and sess on the pitch, otherwise it would of been back to gardener and blocking the middle up as usual. The ref also managed to find 3mins of injury time in the first half and 5 in the second.. There was no stoppages! I was right next to the blonde (mid/top left) on the albions valentines day photo on WBA Facebook page, but can't see myself! RE: Everton vs WBA - Match Thread - Stairs - 14-02-2016 0-6. I suspect it was for the substitutions ( I think it 30 seconds per sub) as well as our alleged timewasting, as identified by Roberto Martinez. As if Everton would ever think of doing such a thing if they were winning 1-0.........whatever! RE: Everton vs WBA - Match Thread - BaggieMan - 14-02-2016 Luke East.... There was 3 & 5 mins added to cove substitutions and our time wasting . Don't honestly know why we even try time wasting as refs/4th official add probably more time on than we waste. The only benefit would be to catch our breath or disrupt the fluency of the opposition. RE: Everton vs WBA - Match Thread - RainbowTurnedEastStand - 14-02-2016 Think the reason Everton dominated the game was because they won the midfield battle as Pulis went 4-4-2 which doesn't work for us , waste of space McClean, old man Fletcher, and Yacob then people wonder why we have about 20% possession every game. In my opinion for Albion to move forward then Pulis has to go soon as the season ends. RE: Everton vs WBA - Match Thread - HarryJAllstarWBA - 15-02-2016 People who think possession stats matter should stick to playing FIFA RE: Everton vs WBA - Match Thread - Borders Baggie - 15-02-2016 Defensive masterclass and still can't get a player in Garth Crooks 'team of the week'!!! What have you got to do to get selected? It's not our job to be entertains and cone second in every game. We need to win games and find ways of doing it when competing against squads with much more skill and flair - bought with bigger budgets b I really hate this excuse from Pulis. He spent £12m on Rondon and £8m on Chester, and has a £20m rated striker in his squad, yet he complains about not having enough money. Everton are only a few places above us in the league, they are not Bayern Munich. And we played (almost) as negatively against a League 1 team. Pulis is using this excuse to hide the fact that he doesn't know how to set a team up any other way. After doing hours and hours of work on defensive shape every week, I don't think our players know how to play any other way now either. And when I hear Pulis talking about money it makes me nervous because I know he is thinking about how he is going to spend all of this extra TV money in the summer. If I gave Pulis £20 and told him to go to the shops to get something nice for dinner, I reckon he'd spunk the whole lot on a sack of potatoes.
