I have stuck my oar into these little spats you Scottish fans seems to engage in fairly often, both on here and the old New606, and have been accused of not understanding the dynamic that exists in Scotland between the various factions, but yet again I feel compelled to intervene!!!  Call me a sucker for punishment, but I truly believe there are plenty of debates that need to be aired on these boards if only it could be debated with at least some civility!!!  There is not a forum in the universe that will see you lot agree on much, that in itself is fine but I have to appeal to the human side of all football fans on here to at least do our best to debate with a little bit of honor and decorum!!!

I don't want to get into specifics and I do not want to alienate or warn or ban anyone from the forum because I have yet to see anything that truly warrants those actions but let me go through a few things with regards to what I see on here.

1. 0762 - I pick you first as you were the one who suggested the mods should take some action, so please read nothing else into you getting top billing!!  Your loathing of just about everything Rangers (and to a lesser extent Celtic) is clear to see, you are passionate about it and not afraid to voice your opinions on it and I am fine with all of that, keep posting your opinions for others to be able to debate, thats what we are hear for!!  But some of the claims you make really need to be backed up with some sort of official source or they will rightly be labeled hearsay, rumor, gossip or simply downright lies!!  And with the best will in the world do you really expect fans of the teams you are referring to to simply sit there and ignore what you are claiming without responding??  I don't think so, and I think you know that as well, but I also think you want the debate, you are good at it and you appear to know your football well enough to be able to debate with anyone on here, but you will get shit thrown back at you if you do not state some source of some description once in a while!!  That nicely leads me to........

2. Trusevich - I cannot begin to imagine what it has been like being a Rangers fans in Scotland for the past few years with all the crap circulating around the club.  None of this was your fault, and by that I mean you as an individual, but even you have to be prepared to admit that the club has done some stupid things, some devious things and some downright bad things over the years, and by the club I refer to the boardroom and the terraces.  Now having said that when I read these threads I do sometimes find myself feeling sorry for you due to what you have been through as a fan of a club who almost disappeared completely (not debating the liquidation/sevco/newco/oldco shiot at this time please) but you in my opinion have to accept that other fans will no doubt want to take the piss out of your situation, at least off the field only at this moment.  I just ask you to by all means debate topics, call for accountability regarding slurs or derogatory stories towards your club but try to minimize the clever one liners!!  If asked a question, answer and debate it rather than just throw a one liner out there, easier said than done I agree, but if you have nothing to say to add to the debate then maybe don't say anything.  That leads me nicely to...........

3. Fredstersafool - You have been a contributor on here and previous versions for a long time and I know you and Trusevich have a long and rather murky history in terms of your relationship!!  Its nice that you have found some friends on here, albeit in the unlikely disguise of your biggest rivals!!  But as we stand you currently have a common enemy to pick away at!!  You have proven many times in the past that you can debate topics, but it seems to only be the case when you want it to be and when it doesn't involve Trusevich or other Rangers posters.  I ask you to continue to debate, like Trus drop the one liners when you can and above all else may I suggest you drop the generalities we are all too guilty of a lot of the time with a lot of things.  Not all Rangers fans are heathens, sure they have their fair share, but in reality if you sat down over a beer with most of them you would be able to have a good debate about things without it getting anywhere near personal.

And finally

4. Paigntonhibby - you are the one poster on here that does my head in more than any other by the simple fact that it takes me at least ten minutes to decipher what the **** you are saying and what language you are typing in!!!!!!   Speak English for god sake man, I find myself all too often reading your posts in my head with a fake Scottish accent just to be able to try to understand it!!!!!

Sorry for the war and peace post but I wanted to at least respond to the request that the mods respond!!!!  Lets just try to be civil, lets debate vigorously but lets not get personal against other posters, if you feel you can't then maybe don't reply to a post.  Try to think what you would say to a person if they were standing directly in front of you and you were discussing all things football.
