RE: England's tour of the West Indies 2015. - Lord Snooty - 02-05-2015 Oh heck. He got out in the last over of the day for 105. Close Day 1: England 240/7 (Buttler 0no) RE: England's tour of the West Indies 2015. - theo_luddite - 02-05-2015 A few more than our lads (t'Yorksha lads afore anyone asks) have scored runs in this innings so far. Not a great start but when the Windies have a spin bowler on before lunch on the first day what does that say about the wicket? When the Windies have a spinner in the team what does that tell you anyway? RE: England's tour of the West Indies 2015. - Lord Snooty - 02-05-2015 Scorecard West Indies Kraigg Brathwaite Shai Hope Darren Bravo Marlon Samuels Shivnarine Chanderpaul Jermaine Blackwood Denesh Ramdin (C, W) Jason Holder Jerome Taylor Shannon Gabriel Veerasammy Permaul England Alastair Cook © Jonathan Trott Gary Ballance Ian Bell Joe Root Moeen Ali Jos Buttler (W) Ben Stokes Stuart Broad Chris Jordan James Anderson RE: England's tour of the West Indies 2015. - jjamez - 02-05-2015 England have taken the safe option. Dont want to risk a potentially expensive spinner but equally potentially dangerous. Dont want to risk a new style of pace bowler because he is different (wood). Do want a new unproven opener because that is acceptance that they were wrong and hey, they dont want to upset trott (probably the second best number three we have atm, but that is possibly due to us having no one tried and tested, one injury and i guess taylor steps up) oh and they won't want to change to plunkett in case they come across as being a short pitched side. RE: England's tour of the West Indies 2015. - Lord Snooty - 02-05-2015 England 257 all out RE: England's tour of the West Indies 2015. - Lord Snooty - 02-05-2015 Windies 37-3 at Lunch. Anderson has three for four in six overs. RE: England's tour of the West Indies 2015. - Lord Snooty - 02-05-2015 Windies out for 189. Six wickets for wee Jimmy Anderson. Well ahead of Botham now. Will anybody ever catch him? Trott fails again. Out for 9. And Cook out for 4. WTF? ![]() RE: England's tour of the West Indies 2015. - jjamez - 02-05-2015 i'll catch him and cook when i return from injury! have no fear the future of english cricket is bright!
