RE: Jan 2020 (Jan 27) - Transfer Window - Blue Baggie - 28-01-2020

I don't see what you are disagreeing with - if you don't see as our issue is we are missing a tough tackling motivational player and we need a CF with pace, we must be watching different teams. As for Livermore he is good at what he does. But tackling, motivating no chance. Box to box now you must be joking. Sure a CF with pace would be fine, but alas his record this year is abysmal.

As for Robinson being abysmal are you sure, hardly played only getting 10 to 15 mins per game a very good player and in Bilic I trust. If you don’t see the motivating of Livermore then I agree we are watching a different player, he’s the one getting booked for some mistimed tackles he the one chasing down the opposition he’s the one in the ref’s ear when Periera gets chopped down for the tenth time you will also find he’s the one with energy in the last few minutes chasing back when one of our back four make a tired pass in the 94 th minute. He’s been excellent this season that’s why he’s captain. Sorry blue but we will have to disagree on this.

RE: Jan 2020 (Jan 27) - Transfer Window - WBA-Josh - 28-01-2020

I can’t see us signing Robinson to play as a striker. We already have 3 strikers at the club all vying to play in 1 position. A fourth would make no sense to me. I guess that we’re looking at Robinson to play on the left wing (where Diangana has been playing) and, considering he made his name at Preston playing on the left wing, that would make the most sense.

With Sheffield Utd he has been playing as a striker in a 352 and has 1 goal in 16 matches (9 starts). Last season with Preston he had 12 in 27 from the left wing. That should tell us where he’s better used.

Yep I think your right, I would question Edward and Tulloch signing new deals when stiker options are already limited.
I think HRK's contract is up in June and if he leave that frees a space up?

I admit I don't know how many of Robinsons appearances have been as sub. but if you think 1 goal in a season is the mark of a very good player I will leave that with you. He is not coming to play as a CF he will be cover for Diangana if anything.
I'm sorry but we have to disagree with you on Livermore. He does not motivate anyone IMO, he has played well this season. But I don't see him as a Mulumbu / Yacob / Olsson / Fletcher - he is not a leader / organiser and motivator of other players. I don't dislike him, he's good at what he does but no more then that.
He may whinge at ref's on occasions - when did you ever see him rollocking a player when they are below par ? It's not part of his make up IMO. he's far to nice.

RE: Jan 2020 (Jan 27) - Transfer Window - wba13 - 28-01-2020

Robinson has only made 9 full premier starts for Sheffield Utd and the system Utd plat is not suited to him he likes to run on defenders shoulder where as at Sheffield he has to play with his back to goal. To be honest don’t know why Sheffield Utd bought him as he does not fit into the system they play.
Anyway he’s having a medical at the hawthorns today with the deal being very close, I for one am happy just ask the Preston fans what they think of him.

Good cover for Diangana, I would also have him pushing Phillips as his form has dropped off.
I would much rather have had Orsic - But both would be 2nd choice to a motivational leader.

AND AFTER TONIGHTS DEBACLE - IT CAN'T BE ANY MORE OBVIOUS.

RE: Jan 2020 (Jan 27) - Transfer Window - Blue Baggie - 29-01-2020

If we don't get a general / enforcer midfield / defender in to sort this shambles out we won't even make the play offs. Bilic has 3 days to save his job.
If Jenkins & Dowling don't back him, they either sack him or he walks, it's that simple. But they CANNOT buy or loan any player who 1st attribute is not LEADER. I don't really care where he plays now. Dowling 17 man recruitment team job is to GET them in now.
