RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (17th Aug) - BaggyBomber - 19-08-2015

While I started off excited by the prospect of some summer signings, I cannot say that I can see exactly what the plan is or even that we look much good at the moment. However,Tony Pulis came in when we were in dire straits and, in my opinion, earned us another year in the Prem. That year alone, on the new shareout basis, is worth, I understand, a further £40/50 million over the previous season. On that basis alone, I think he is entitled to the transfer window and some time to show what his squad can do before pre-held grudges are aired as facts of future performance.

I think we needed to find some middle ground to be honest but our stubborn leader then wouldn't play players found by our scouting network so its a bit of a no win situation, Without trying to sound too negative i think we are playing a dangerous game because even if Pulis brings in all his attacking targets i still see us being as negative as we was at Watford he got away with it at Stoke cause they knew nothing else as he took them up but if the negative football continues after the window closes i can see fans turning fairly quickly

West Brom have told Tottenham they will need to pay £25m to sign 22-year-old striker Saido Berahino. (Independent)

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is expecting to sell more players this summer, with left-back Kieran Richardson thought to be on his way out. (Birmingham Mail)

Richardson, 30, will not be returning to Sunderland, should he leave Villa. (Sunderland Echo)

QPR have avoided a potential £50m fine and will instead have to pay £8m for breaching the Football League Financial Fair Play rules. (Express)

Derby fans on JA606 are saying Derby have had a bid of £4 million turned down by Forest - after Albion had a bid of £5 million turned down. Must be some sort of Dutch auction.

Watched Forest on the box I think it was very first match of the season and Antonio certainly looked up for it and really stood out in what was a OK side. Would be a good signing has ability and still has the passion to be involved at both ends of the pitch. A yes from me if true

Just a thought, should we be focussing on Fazio at Spurs?

They surely aren't going to sell us him if we wont let them have Saido?

Seems to be too much dialogue between the clubs for me, no to Saido and look elsewhere!

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (17th Aug) - aries22 - 19-08-2015

I can't get excited about Fazio if he's as slow as Spurs fans say he is.

Tony Pulis should be on the Training Ground, leaving the Transfer Market to others. No wonder his team have looked clueless this last couple of weeks. (Is that why he left them doing marathons in pre-season?)

Careful what you say Saft.....  you'll upset Baggy Bomber if you post such a comment he doesn't agree with !   Wink
