The only violent behaviour here is the force with which you're pishing your pants. Grow up, moron. RE: Transfers - TheWorthinGer - 21-01-2016 He's like something out of League of Gentlemen. "Now then, now then, we'll have no violent wording on this forum..." RE: Transfers - El Car - 22-01-2016 Still no movement on the transfer front despite lots of hearsay and positive noises from Warburton. To be honest I'm not sure I'm too bothered whether or not we get O'Halloran or Diagouraga as I think in the next couple of seasons we'll need players of a better standard than that. It's funny though - I was never a huge fan of McLeish as manager, especially after his side's domestic performances collapsed as cost cutting kicked in, but it was a hell of an achievement for him reaching the last 16 of the Champions League. Even more so when you look at the side that sealed our progress, which included Marvin Andrews, Ian Murray, Chris Burke, Hamed Namouchi and Bob Malcolm. Now I've got nothing against those guys, but at that time and the level they were at, any of those players could be realistic signings for us in our current state. And I don't think all of them would get a place in our current team. Granted we had a few players who were playing at a level above those guys, but it show that the gap between what we have right now and what we would need to play at a higher level isn't really that big. RE: Transfers - TIN TIN - 22-01-2016 At last a sensible post. Well done el car. Greater than the sum of the parts. (22-01-2016, 01:10)TIN TIN Wrote: At last a sensible post. Well done el car. Shh, ya big bully. RE: Transfers - Trusevich - 22-01-2016 'Big Dave' Diagouraga has joined Leeds Utd in a £1.5M deal. No way we should be trying to match (or better) that for a player with no sell-on value. RE: Transfers - TheWorthinGer - 22-01-2016 We offer what we think he is worth. That'll do me. Bidding wars are not good business. Trusevich Wrote:'Big Dave' Diagouraga has joined Leeds Utd in a £1.5M deal. I wonder which set of rabid fans were asked to set this fee? RE: Transfers - El Car - 22-01-2016 We could probably be doing with a player more or less of his type but definitely not at that price for a 28 year old. |
