I hope Deano and his mate enjoy it. Complete and utter bollox

i won't be doing it, £250 registration fee and then other costs on top.

Not that I'd do it anyway being a fatty.

How about a sponsored beer session where everybody gets p*ssed up and the profits go to charity...I could do that

RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - theo_luddite - 23-11-2016

We all do it every weekend. The charity just happens to be called HMRC unfortunately and they are the most uncharitable b'stards we know.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K9UBRvGR0k - Incredibly good insight from Webber & Weaver about the academy philosophy. Forthright and honest and some not so subtle criticisms of Lillis & Co. Think Webber might be the best thing to happen to town in a long time.

At last, a premier league manager has spoken out against diving. Sean Dyche says there should be retrospective bans for it, like what they have in Scotland.

In a weird sport with weird comings and goings - this is bloody weird - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38316110

Brum have sacked Gary Rowett. wtf??? Huh

RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Lord Snooty - 14-12-2016

Just heard that. How on earth? From the outside it seems as daft as us sacking Lee Clark.

Birmingham new owners. Just like Wolves. Hire foreign manager (Zola), then when he does shit, hire another one and another until they get relegated. The cycle continues. I was saying to one of my journalist mates there needs to be more journos speaking up about this and fans collectively starting some sort of movement against it. The fit and proper persons test is a complete joke. I don't know how far government legislation could actually do legally to stop these takeovers but definitely could start some sort of policy change to allow clubs to be legitimately owned by the fans or make it allowed that fans could own 40% of the shares or something. I think if ever Deano ever said he was selling up, our fans should lobby to have some sort of ownership like the FC United model so if ever the new one was trying to ruin the club we could democratically get rid. All sorts of kinks in there but just spitballing.

When they pull stunts like this you just hope it goes pear shaped for the owners. It's the fans and to some extent the players who get the shitty end of the stick. Zola can't claim to have anything of a stellar managerial career so why they would trust him more than Rowett, who admits he got it wrong last winter, only a bunch of owners who don't do interviews and thus don't engage with fans, can tell you. Except they won't. Is Zola better known in China than Rowett? Probably, but basing your future on a marketing proposition rather than a footballing one will bite your arse every time. Time will tell if he can bring in better players and make them a promotion cert rather than a contender.

They sound like they could be the next Blackburn.
