No, this is a season to forget, we have had a few of those over the years!! I cannot remember losing so many players to injuries, virtually the whole first team for a big chunk of the season. Not many silver linings, but blooding some of the U23s is a definite positive and I suppose I could spin a positive that we know a lot more about our second string players, unfortunately we know a lot of them are crap!!! One encouraging thing is that we have seen the difference the Bannan and Forestieri of our squad that we have been missing have shown their class in the games they have played recently, we have a decent first 11, with hopefully 2-4 quality additions and a proper pre-season to keep them fit we could possibly be back up near the top 6 next season like we should have been this season.

He came on for Rhodes, so we had no strikers left to play up front so I think it was a case of putting a big guy up front to hold up the ball and act as an outlet but also meant we would have another big man for defending corners and set pieces in the final few minutes.
I love the idea of just going all out for it against Reading now the result doesn’t matter at all.
