RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - Championship Rebuild - Baggievicar - 04-05-2018 Gossip that Villa want Gareth Barry back if they go up. Go, Agent Barry! RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - Championship Rebuild - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 04-05-2018 (04-05-2018, 03:14)Salopbaggie Wrote: Just thinking how ironic is it, that we turned down many 10's of millions of pounds this season, to hold on to players we though were needed to stay up. Now we will end up without either the players or the money we were offered for them. The Catch 22 of Premier League football. Either cash in on your stars, buy whatever replacements you can find and struggle as a result (e.g. Southampton, Swansea), or hold on to them at all costs and then find they won't play for you anymore (Albion, Stoke). I'm talking the players who've got the talent to play for a top-six club. I can't think of a single example of a player who has the skill to be a Champions League regular who instead sticks with his "lesser" club purely out of loyalty. RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - Championship Rebuild - Worldclassalbion - 07-05-2018 I’d definitely look at the Stoke winger Ramadan Sobhi. Total Quality RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - Championship Rebuild - Stairs - 09-05-2018 I must apologise - at the moment I have not maintained the header to this thread with any links - I will get there eventually, but at the moment my heart has been knocked out of it due to the depressing last few months at West Brom. I know Big Dave did great things but we all knew it was too little too late and he is the only one that comes out of it with a positive. Come the inevitable moment when I move this to the Championship page I might have started to feel positive again - but it's very dependant on who the club recruit as manager. Total Quality Not according to my man ITK at Stoke - he said he would pay the taxi fare for us to sign him? Total Quality Sobhi is worse than McClean. Hasn't got a trick, average pace.... The only thing on his side is youth. Total Quality We all have opinions but Obviously your MAN ITK is far better than at least 4 of mine who all rate him. I’ll bow to your superiority ![]() RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - Championship Rebuild - Blue Baggie - 13-05-2018 (13-05-2018, 09:57)Worldclassalbion Wrote:(12-05-2018, 08:08)wba1978 Wrote:(09-05-2018, 15:40)Phil Penn Wrote:(07-05-2018, 18:12)Worldclassalbion Wrote: I’d definitely look at the Stoke winger Ramadan Sobhi.
