And Birmingham City, our 1968 semi final opponents are still in it.

Who says that history never repeats itself!! Smartass

Went to that semi-final game at St Andrew’s Silver. Think we might have won 3-1 Wasn’t Barry Bridges playing for them
It was 2-0 at Villa Park and Bridges was playing. Like you, I was there, what a game Thumb up

What odds on Albion winning the Cup match now we know how they play?  Whistle

RE: FA Cup 2018 - Sir Megson - 07-02-2018

Genuinely fancy us to win this one despite the performance against them in the league. We've played with much more freedom in the cups in comparison to the league.

Also would not be at all surprised if both we and Southampton rested quite a few players, we both have huge games in terms of the league the weekend after, so I'm expecting to see the likes of Field, McClean, HRK, Livermore & Yacob all get starts.

So now we are down to the last 8
The chances of the top 4 teams being kept apart now are very remote
Oh wait ...................... Doh

Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea City v Rochdale or Tottenham
Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion
Leicester City v Chelsea
Wigan or Manchester City v Southampton

Hot and cold balls ...... top four hot the rest cold.
Tell the ball puller to draw a ball if a hot ball is pulled pull a cold one and vice versa ..... the FA get the final that the tv companies want and the status quo of the FA's gentlemen's club continues its monopoly of the money and European competition ..... or am I cynical.

RE: FA Cup 2018 - silverbaggie - 20-02-2018

How about the scuffle between Pep and the Wigan Manager after the sending off and again in the tunnel at half time. Cheltenham's Manager got sent to the stands in a recent game at Mansfield when their assistant manager stormed into Gary Johnson's technical area forcing Gary to push him away. Why not these two who also looked as if they were squaring up to each other.

Still don't understand why the Referee was putting Delph's name on his yellow card before apparently changing his mind and showing the red card.

The ref did his best to maintain the status quo for Citeh by adding 4 mins of unwarranted extra time and then actually playing over 5.
