Week 26 saw the 2nd leg of the quarter finals completed, although because of the 2 postponed matches, one of the ties remains to be decided until the two extra games this week are scored.

The other 3 ties were so clear cut that, regardless of the scores from the 2 matches, the victors are already heading into the semi finals.

Zinman & DD are locked together on a point apiece with their scores in Rangers v Celtic and Wrexham v Chester sealing their fate this weekend.

Matt, Snooty and BaggieOne take their places in the semi finals all with overwhelming margins in defeating their opponents.

The semi finals will be played over 2 legs and will use the scores from week 29 & week 32 to decide the 2 finalists.

MattWBA v Zinman or DD
Lord Snooty v BaggieOne

DD - let’s put the same scores for those 2 matches.......Bomber won’t know what to do next!

In Group A things went pretty much to league form as St Charles and DD went through as the top 2, with DD holding off a late challenge from Derby who drew level on points but was beaten to the punch courtesy of fewer correct predictions over the 4 weeks.

Group B saw Snooty qualify comfortably courtesy of his consistent performances that he's enjoyed throughout the season and was joined by BaggieOne, despite Salop’s attempt to crash the party late on.

Group C had the clearest cut winner in Zinman, who now has the scent of league & cup success while the second qualifying place was decided by the number of correct predictions over the 4 weeks, with Matt’s good last week helping him get the better of an unlucky Amelia.

Finally Group D success for Stairs at the top of the Group and Bomber close behind as they go into the knock-out stages with just a point separating them in the end after 4 weeks of predictions.

The knock-out ties will take place over 2 legs covering week 23 and week 26 scores to determine the final 4.

St Charles v MattWBA. Top half against bottom half Matt will be looking to cause an upset.

Lord Snooty v Bomber. 1st against 3rd in the championship with a semi final place at stake.

Zinman v DD. The tie of the round (BBC have asked to cover) 1st against 2nd, both in with a shout of the double.

Stairs v BaggieOne. Probably the most open tie, both capable of stonking scores or shocking scores.

i went with the latter option, STONKING Smile

Blimey, get the Beef, pure as the driven snow, the phrase mentioning pot & kettle springs to mind Whistle

Speaking of which, we'll be getting to the stage of the season soon where the boys at the top need to be getting their predictions up sharpish so that those below can go the complete opposite, especially where the Gamballs concerned, if they want to to try and catch them - nothing ventured nothing gained Wink
