RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - consilio - 08-09-2014 So shut up Imre in other words ![]() RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - A57owl - 09-09-2014 I'm happy with the site so far. Will be good to get a proper mobile version. Worth the wait to do it properly. Keep up the good work. ![]() RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - St Charles Owl - 09-09-2014 It looks like the Celtic posters are the only hold out but that is for other reasons, almost everyone else has moved here now. But now we need to get more posters on our board and on the other boards, and that is always the hard part. In the meantime I would just encourage as many of us to post on as many different threads as possible and keep the whole forum busy, and that includes other teams boards if they are in the news. RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - Stairs - 09-09-2014 Thanks guys. I have not hunted for New606 members but hoped that there would be a big migration. It does show, sadly, how many people have moved on to other places in the last few years. Hopefully they will get to hear about this site and valued the format of New606 enough to consider this a good place to be. I think we need fans to promote us on their club twitter sites and away coaches etc - no idea how to do that. But in the meantime, word of mouth and time will do the trick. RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - Maddix - 09-09-2014 They like their independence Imre ![]() RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - St Charles Owl - 09-09-2014 It nothing earth shattering, they saw the Rangers boys come over here first and feel that a separation of the two is probably the right thing for now. The shit that went on between their boards over there was mind blowing and from a moderators point of view a nightmare!! For now they have decided to stay put, if the site continues to operate they may well stay there, but if like I expect one day it just doesn't work then I would imagine they may come here. At the moment none of us need the grief so for now having them separate is quite nice!!! RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - St Charles Owl - 09-09-2014 I don't disagree with you Imre, problem is the most benign comment by one or the other always got blown out of all proportions, it just got to the point where as a moderator you ended up preempting it before it happened!! We shall see how it goes on here!! As you know I am all for allowing debates to develop and only step in when absolutely necessary, on there that type of moderation was difficult and if you left it alone for just an hour you ended up with tons of posts with all sorts of shit being thrown around and before you know it you have an hours modding to do just to keep it sane!! Maybe thats why there were only a few posters from each team on there, they rest buggered off due to all the crap. RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - madsteve - 10-09-2014 Is it possible to be able to return to the Wednesday page by clicking "back arrow" even after posting or liking. RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - St Charles Owl - 10-09-2014 Not sure what you mean MS. After liking it returns you to the post you liked and after posting it returns you to the thread you posted on. Using the back button can be done to get back to the main Wednesday page but then it will show the thread as being unread for you but once you go back in your post will still be there. The quickest way to get back to the main page is to click the link marked Sheffield Wednesday at the top of the page, this takes you back to the main board. There is also the forum jump option at the bottom of the page that is automatically set to the Sheffield Wednesday main page, you can just click on Go and it will take you back to the main page. RE: Suggestions for changes to the forum - Thurnscoe_OWL - 10-09-2014 Something I wanted for the old site can we have a button next to threads which jumps to a certain page? Once we get over 5 pages then the middle pages aren't shown (eg. it goes 1,2...6) so you have to click on page 6 and then go back to the page you want which can be a bit of a ball ache if the site is being slow |
