I assume you'll be setting off earlier this time to avoid the last minute dash and hopefully no accidents on the motorways

Ticket prices aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be.
£98 for the best seats in the house, last summer I paid UEFA £110 for seat in the England v Wales match and it was basically 5 rows from the end of the stand...and I never used it during the match

Yeah we are going down even earlier! We thought we might go for mid range again.

There's nowt wrong with booking hotels in advance. It makes perfect sense. You go on booking.com, reserve a room, nowt to pay upfront apart from a quid to test your card, and you can cancel for free up to 12 hours before check in and you get it cheaper than waiting until the last minute Cool

But I digress, good luck in the final. We performed exactly as I expected Doh with a manager like yours and a squad like ours we'd have been promoted in March Wink

Booking an hotel in advance is tempting fate. Sheer madness.

Yes, did exactly that last summer. England would walk over Iceland and we had tickets for the Quarter final in Paris providing we qualified...we all know what happened.

1 long weekend in Paris fully booked and paid for...so had to trudge round Paris instead of going to the match

Tickets purchased for the final, block 240 club Wembley seats, not cheap seats but the view is good

Just snagged 6 in the 500's. Couldn't get a bleeding thing behing the goals for 6 of us together so we're sitting behind Her Maj by the half-way line. I guess she might be a Royals fan but we'll pass the flask, sarnies and biccy's round anyway. Might even get to show her a photo of my racing pigeons and whippets. Wonder if she'd autograph it for me?

Tickets must be flying off the shelves. Looked again 10 mins after buying and our block was also limited. They'll be opening more nose bleed blocks behing the goals before long for SC Card and general sale.

In other news Dempsey has signed for Fleetwood. Wrong thread? Who cares.

Now I know we only got 2,000 out of potentially 3,700 tickets in the upper layer and the tellybox men would have had cameras perched on a few seats but didn't I read this was a 38,000 sellout? I thought the fancy dress code of looking like a seat cover seemed to extend a bit further than the blue and white stripes they kindly put in front of the Town fans Laugh

A bit like Bradford, supposedly had 20,000+ crowds all season (and last) Laugh - sold 16,000 for their home leg play-off semi-final. Doh Yeh, yeh, midweek and all that, mind .... some folk buy season tickets and don't always go. Lad next to us has been a slack handful of times all season. Mind you he lives in France. 4,000+ didn't turn up at Bradford for their big game. How many will buy a Wembley ticket and not turn up on Saturday?

Isn't everything done by cooking the books these days?

Congratulations Huddersfield. Enjoy your day at Wembley. I hope you have a better day than we did last year and get up to the Prem. Rather you than Reading.

Capacity at Hillsborough has been restricted for a while now for inexplicable safety reasons. There are 38000 plus seats in the stadium but the club don't seem to be allowed to ever sell them all.

RE: Wendies v Town Championship Play-offs 2nd Leg - theo_luddite - 19-05-2017

No doubt we'll see a lot more tickets sold for Wembley than actually get through the gates. There's always a bunch of erm, resellers, (bleeding spivs and touts if you ask me) who seem to have a large pocket full to sell when you get there. I guess spending a few quid on dubious Town/Reading memberships or otherwise having the means to screw over the Ticketmaster site (or they just flip them themselves, which I think could often be more likely and not just at Wembley) could be seen by some as prudent planning and investment.
