RE: Cathro - hibeejim21 - 01-08-2017 Hahahahaha. RE: Cathro - hfcbounce - 01-08-2017 Paul Hartley might take the post ! RE: Cathro - 0762 - 02-08-2017 Watch this space eh......! I thought Hartley might 'be in the frame' but the bookies seem to think otherwise and rarely get it wrong at this stage of the proceedings. RE: Cathro - hibeejim21 - 03-08-2017 Jon daly says he wants the job permanently. RE: Cathro - 0762 - 03-08-2017 http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/hearts/hearts-to-stage-games-at-murrayfield-due-to-main-stand-delay-1-4521745 It also transpires that completion of Hearts new stand delayed until November!! Home games planned for Murrayfield - it never rains but it pours eh! RE: Cathro - St Charles Owl - 03-08-2017 Be interesting to see how many away tickets are given to Rangers for that game, it could end up more like a home game for them if too many are allocated. We played Rangers last weekend and our chairman has said it is the last time they will be invited back to Hillsborough after substantial damage was caused by the 7,000 fans that were there!!! Real shame because the previous friendly with them a couple of seasons ago passed off with no problems and a carnival like atmosphere. The atmosphere in the ground was again superb, which was to be expected, but obviously behind the scenes stuff was a problem. RE: Cathro - 0762 - 03-08-2017 I thought Rangers were banned from playing matches in England for the very reason that you describe! Study the records for lots of their previous matches down south and the ones with good behaviour attached to them are swamped by the poisonous activities of their fans and that negativity spans back decades - you can peruse some of their 'shit' on You Tube (and other footie media sources) if you have any doubts! RE: Cathro - St Charles Owl - 03-08-2017 I have no doubts!! I think the fact that the previous meeting a couple of years ago was a great occasion according to our fans and the club, they though they could replicate that event, but it wasn't to be!! Not heard of any ban and I suppose the fact they played us shows there isn't one. Of course along with the news of the problems there have also been many good stories of fans mingling, good gestures by Rangers fans with regards to charity events and kids and of course the atmosphere during the game itself, but a minority always grab the headlines in these situations. RE: Cathro - 0762 - 03-08-2017 They've been offending as far back as I can remember TBH. Also any Euro final they've been involved in has been steeped in drunkenness and violence but there is a huge list of negative events that cover other Euro matches, previous 'friendly'(?) matches at Highbury and other grounds where eventually it was well known there was an implicit ban imposed by English clubs that were quite happy to play them, esp in testimonial matches, but no thanks to the amount of trouble/poison that stuck to factions of their fans like glue. I get the feeling they are not being honest with the hertz support. Those games should be played to a reduced capacity at the PBS,it was blatant at the pars game the stand was nowhere near as ready as they made out. |
