RE: HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v MAN CITY - Lord Snooty - 19-02-2017 Apparently it's live on the BBC News channel. Another fact that nobody seems to mention, we ate unbeaten at Man City since the infamous 10-1 defeat. RE: HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v MAN CITY - SHEP_HTAFC - 19-02-2017 That were a right good game. Watched it all from some Russian streaming channel. We were excellent 1st half....should have scored when VLP had that shot. City should have scored also when Aguero lifted the ball over the goal......Coleman's only mistake of the game when he came out too early and got stranded. 2nd half was more City but we had some dangerous breaks and could have scored again from VLP....and Kachunga. Overall a very impressive game to watch. We now surely have to be on TV for the replay. Unless of course any other team has a replay after todays games....then it'll be them on TV. RE: HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v MAN CITY - Lord Snooty - 19-02-2017 Boro away then. RE: HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v MAN CITY - jjamez - 19-02-2017 Taken a bit of time after the hysteria after yesterdays good performance, plus lack of energy, to analyse the performance from my expert view ![]() Coleman- pulled off some good saves and made his mind up well when coming to catch or punch. Kicking looked like it needs some work, cant help but feel a smithies or ward would be lambasted if it was they kicking like that. But still lots of positives for the next season. Cranie- solid, experienced defender who knew his job and knew how to do it. I was a bit confuzzled when he got a new contract, more from his perspective as he could be a first choice somewhere else. A solid option for the rest of the season. Hudson- same as cranie, knew his job and did it. Great goal line block early on. I was worried when he was going to be up against aguero but he handled him well. Good news for the rest of the season really if he keeps performing like that when needed. Stankovic- looks like he will be a classy defender when he's fully developed. Still looks error prone but he's improving quickly Thd- dealt well with navas and got forward well at times, linked up well with quaner in the second half. Good prospect for the future. Billing- defended well and moves the ball well, got caught a few times and played a few risky passes that he needed bailing out from by defenders and keeper but i think that comes with the territory for him Whitehead- looked a lot younger than his age suggests, gonna be a key player with his experience and hoggs injury. More than good enough replacement though Lolley- troubled the city defence when he attacked, but looked out of place at times when he was having to do the harrying and defending Payne- ran himself into the ground and caused problems for their defence. Seems like a terrier of a midfielder who would probably be more suited to an open game or a game where we are on top more though Rajiv- another who troubled the city defence, says it all really, attack them and they dont like it. As jonesy would say 'they dont like it up em'. He looked a bit of a passenger at times though and couldn't really get into the game Quaner- probably his best game, isolated at times and put himself around well. Looked okay out wide too which helps the squad in the long run too. Wells- never able to have a chance on goal but looked like he would trouble stones if he got the chance to run at him Kachunga- did what kachunga does really, chased, carried and probably shot when he should have passed other than that didnt have much chance to get in the game Brown- same as kachunga and never had much chance to influence the game RE: HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v MAN CITY - Jeebers - 20-02-2017 Pissed off with the result, Town's reserves played brilliant but I don't think I'm the only one that wanted City to score when they had their last minute corners, don't need this shit getting in the way of promotion, of all xxxx seasons to have a cup run.................. RE: HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v MAN CITY - theo_luddite - 20-02-2017 I know I didn't Jeebers. I thought our 2nd 11 deserved a draw but I'd have took an honourable 0-1 defeat when I saw the team sheets. As the game wore on however I thought we deserved to be in the draw for the next round. OK, it's Boro away if, if, if. The good news is the baying Bermondsey mob don't even have to cross The North Circular for their next match. RE: HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v MAN CITY - WakeyTerrier - 21-02-2017 A few tips for visiting the Etihad Stadium. 1) Parking is a nightmare, if you must go by car then try and park 10/15 minutes walk away from the stadium and be careful...residents only parking in operation near the ground and the sneaky traffic wardens don't even put a ticket on, they just take a photo and send the ticket and photo through the post 2)Trams are about every 6minutes from the Etihad Campus station(far end of the ground from us) so whilst they are frequent, do expect to queue. Think it's £3 or £3.50 return from Piccadilly or 20/30 mins walk back to the Station which plenty do. 3) Pubs- little to no pubs usually for away fans, best of drinking in the city centre. Drink is served in the ground. 4) Seating- roughly 8000 tickets. The usual away allocation in the bottom and middle tier and from what I can gather almost all of the upper tier. Be warned if you are going in the upper tier it's very steep and very high to the back although having the majority of support up here (circa 6k) will probably mean the better atmosphere. If you go for the bottom two tiers you will be separated by 2 lines of stewards from the home fans, many of which delight in 'banter' with the away fans and it's usually the away fan that gets into trouble. cracking view from the middle tier, the bottom tier is ok but you'd want to be near the back for a decent view of the game.
