Looks like MS had it right, Middlesex 470 for 8. Need to wrap this up early tomorrow morning and bat well 2nd innings.

Yes, I thought we were on the low side after the first day. NMR is quite a small ground so 500 plus is the norm Doh

It is mainly the quality of the wickets at NMR which favour batsmen at this time of year.

Ouch. 577 all out Middlesex. Looks like Yorkshire will be playing for another draw!

RE: Yorkshire Cricket Thread - Owlkev71 - 06-07-2016

RE: Yorkshire Cricket Thread - Jacko The Flopsy Piglet - 06-07-2016

Things have changed pretty fast. 8 down now. First defeat of the season coming up.

RE: Yorkshire Cricket Thread - Owlkev71 - 06-07-2016

Yorks Lose Thumb down Thumb down Thumb down

It is only the 3rd defeat in 3 years, all by Middlesex Huh Huh Huh

RE: Yorkshire Cricket Thread - Jacko The Flopsy Piglet - 07-07-2016

That puts Middlesex top too. They appear to be Yorkshire's bogey team

My firm used to be sponsors at the Scorborough Festival so I got to see just about every match & met the players. Remember Ken Rutherford hitting 300 in a day for New Zealand in the most explosive innings I have ever seen. Met some great guys - Desmond Hayes was a great laugh. So was Brian Close.

I was supposed to be entertaining but had a brilliant time although I couldn't drink as I had to take my guests home.
