Snoots what else were they expected to do? I'm not condoning causing a match to be abandoned but this seemed like a last resort. Until greater legislation comes in like what Labour are proposing about possibly having two fans required at board level there is only so much these fans can to to cause change.

Like I said. Boycott. Go watch somebody else. Man Utd fans went and made their own non league club. There's all sorts you can do.
Today was wrong on so many levels.
And like the Blackpool journalists said, this will only make him dig his heels further in.

My mystic powers of postponement were bang on, pity they don't extend the lottery numbers.

The pitch was almost as shocking as the invasion, must have been bought from the garden centre on Friday night and rolled out and watered yesterday before ko. the ball wouldnt roll, long punts were holding up, what a disgrace, give me the mud and sand any day.

We bossed the game but made the wrong decisions in and around the box, Lolley had plenty of the ball then PC sends in a 30 yard screamer that Smithies tipped over to keep it 0-0 at ht. Ish couldnt get his one good foot to the ball when well placed and Smithies tipped another away seconds before they all exited.

Town fans in the main had supported the Bogpool fans even got anti Oyston chants going, so it was no suprise a few of their fans initially came across to applaud us, along with the motability scooter mad max lookalikey. It was the 100 or so of the 300 max who wanted to offer the Town fans onto the pitch to fight that lost them credit, at one point the town lot did try to get on. As I left the Castle pub pre match there had been a scrap between the 2 yoooof factions on the Sea Life carpark so some tensions present, yep that lot who throw their under age beer around at HT at Bolton under the stands and the likes, let off flairs generally annoy folk.

I waited till about five to 2 then waltzed back into Town. I think the game will be replayed behind closed doors sometime this week, I dont think the FL can make a decision to award us 3 points or give us 1 each as it make other clubs fans think we'll pile on get the game called off if things arent cosy off the field. To replay the game with fans present will probably lead to more of the same with more threat of violence as I dont think Town fans will be so sympathetic a 2nd match to intimidation or goading.

It would be great to be awarded 3 points and go above Beeston on the Duckworth Lewis rule though.

I don't remember it, but apparently this has happened before. In the last season at the Goldstone, Brighton fans invaded the pitch and got the match abandoned. That match, against York who needed the points to stay up, had to be replayed on a Thursday morning with only 2,000 tickets sold. They were given a suspended three point deduction.
Must be true, just read it on Facebook.

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - ARTERRIER - 03-05-2015

Yes, it is true Snoots. There is a video on you tube of it.

Replay on Thursday morning then.  Big Grin

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - St Charles Owl - 03-05-2015

I suppose the fact that York needed the points meant they had to replay the game. In your game the result doesn't make any difference, so I think they should award you the 3 points and let the season end for both teams.

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - Amelia Chaffinch - 03-05-2015

Why do people keep saying it doesn't make any difference when a win would take us above Leeds?

RE: Blackpool v Huddersfield Town - Lord Snooty - 03-05-2015

People have money at stake here. How many have put a bet on with the gobby Leeds fan at work that we would finish above them?

Forgot to mention. Terrible coverage of our match on the FLS last night.
