Limited damage so I'll take that........particularly as I had 3-0 in the prediction league

Peace dove
Peace be with you.
The score should have been a lot more for Manchester City so well done the Albion for keeping it just to three. Would it have been any different if a man hadn't been sent off ?  I don't think it would have made any difference as Albion in all honesty aren't of the same standard as the star studded City millionaires. It does seem very unfair that success can just be bought as it is with many clubs.

I got up at 5.45am to watch this and it certainly killed it as a competitive game, but from a neutral perspective I may get to see a few goals!! Whistle

By the rule book, he should go, so can't really complain. Although I do think a common sense approach
would've been to book the player after 1 minute in the circumstances.

I didn't think Dawson could be suspended in retrospect as it's not violent conduct. So think both players
should be available for next week, but don't quote me on that Big Grin

Only positive is that we were not embarrassed.

Almost zero attacking intent away from home again - that is one thing that has to change, and very soon - next away game in fact.

Having a defender sent off after two minutes away at Man City will slightly stunt your attacking options!!! Whistle

Missed the game bar the last 10 mins so can't comment on the performance. What I will say though is having a player sent off in the 2nd minute away to Man City kills the game as a contest. I agree that the starting line-up looked appalling but that is what you get after 2 seasons worth of failed transfer windows and a bunch of injuries and suspensions. The squad is poor, lacking in depth and Pulis had his hands tied in terms of selection today. Bar Poco and Mulumbu in for Olsson and Baird he couldn't have done anything differently, and we still would have lost.

As I have been saying since Irvine was sacked, we need to limp to the end of the season with what we have got and rebuild in the summer. If people think last summer was a mass turnaround, this summer we will be even more active. Bar Saido I honestly wouldn't care if any one of the current squad was let go. MINIMUM of RB, CB, LB, RM, LM and ST needed - and that is before considering outgoings.

Aries,
Bit harsh bloke ! Down to 10 men after 90 seconds away at Man city.....
3-0 is ok under the circumstances.
Onwards & upwards
C O Y B

Foster
Lescott
Fletcher
Berahino. That's a great spine to the team just need to recruit well in the summer and we will be fine.
